At any stage is someone going from the PFL going to look into the teams who clearly miss league finals and stack their reserves.

Its pretty pathetic some sides (Coolbinia as an example) are choosing to load up their reserves side pre finals...

Someone should remind them the goal is to stay out of relegation, guess that particular club got what it deserved

Happens all the time mate.

I seem to recall Mossie Park having a horrible run with their league team in 2016 (barely missing relegation) , only for their ressies team to go all the way to the grand final.

Another example in C3
Canning C3R into a GF and finishged top of the ladder
There league side avoided relegation by 1%

no club deliberately stacks a reserves team over league. At the end of the year if a player is on the edge and they can qualify them for finals then good on them. Doesn't mean they have stacked the team.

It would help if the PFL changed the games qualifying rule. At the moment I believe it’s only 5. I think it should be at least 8 or 9.

Why was it changed a few years ago, the old system seemed a lot better.
minimum number of games (5) to qualify for that grade but if you played more league than reserves you couldn’t play reserves. You had to have played more games in the lower grade to qualify.

agree with Cantbuyagoal if you play more games in the high grade then you can play finals in the lower grade. no matter if your all playing on same day, bring some fairness to the comp, just look at the C4 comp this year a number of players in one team played AR's most of the year but qualified late for C4 so they could play finals footy. system needs to change

Unsure what you mean by “players in one team played AR’s most of the year but qualified late for C4 so they could play finals footy” as bothNorth Beach and Trinity Aquinas League Reserves, Thirds and Fourths all made finals.

Or is it just sour grapes that a third grade side beat clubs League teams and North Beach will be promoted to C3 next year?

Perhaps the PFL have looked into Coolbinia's C2R side and seen that there is nothing untoward. A glance at playing lists and rego details will show that three quarters of that team have been regular reserves players for the past three years; topped up by two E3 players from 2021. The age profile sees the team play 2 players over 40 years of age and more than half the team clock in at 35 years or older. Coolbinia C2R did "stack" the team in the past two weeks with a young colt, though; SHAMEFUL! Perhaps don't give up your day job because investigative journalism is not for you buddy.
