Final week before the big show and things are heating up. Last weekend two more teams leave with belmont in the ressies and secret harbour going out in straight sets from the league. Brentwood played very well last week and came out of the blocks with a bang, Piara were very flat footed, slow and just did not look switched on, big sandi looked absolutely cooked and the mids lacked that run they have had all season.
well done to Brentwood and Canning in the ressies on going through to the grandy.

well canning have been very impressive coming from fifth spot knocking off cott and secrets last week, the young cubs will be up and about after two big wins and will hopefully be wanting to join there ressies the week after. They can’t get too cocky tho as Piara will be absolutely dark on themselves after last weeks efforts and will come out with a point to prove.

Piara v Brentwood 
well Piara had to travel away last week unfortunately after playing that unregistered player, and to there credit they came home with the win. Brentwood were no match for the all classy canning ressies side they managed to keep themselves in the game before canning ran away with it. Theses teams should match up well and I’m going to back Piara in this one.

Well the weather gods absolutely turned it on for us on the weekend. Piara oval was jammed packed and was difficult to find a parking spot. Got there to see out the last few minutes of the second quarter in the ressies. Brentwood had just kicked two late goals and went in at half time like they had just won the game! Sadly to say after half time it was all one way traffic and Piara took control right to the end, maybe if brentwood actually concentrated on playing football and less push n shove they would of had more of a chance. Piaras mids were strong in and under which probably were the difference on the day. Brentwood out in straight sets and Piara now into the GF.

The league took a while to get going and canning kept them selves right in it matching goal for goal. Piaras mids started to find a bit more run and they really used big sandi to advantage. After half time half of the crowd had left, I only had just found out that the Piara Girls were in the GF. 3rd qtr Piara started to kick away and there half forwards started to play up the ground like extra mids. Piaras big full forward was causing a few headaches as canning swapping a number of players on him. Well done to canning, a very young side with some good talent and should do well next year. Piara through to the final week.
