Not much talk about C4 this year so I thought I would throw it out there for the first week of finals.
Stirling have the bye this week. I’m sure they will have some keen eyes out there watching around the grounds. They will be hunted hard this Finals series.
Elimination Final
Forrestdale V Osbourne Park
This will be an interesting encounter with these sides not playing each other due to the COVID rounds. Both sides going into this game with big wins in the final round last week. There will be a big crowd at Forrestdale to watch this and the home crowd will play a big part. They are very passionate and vocal. When it’s all said and done tho, the home team will win this one. They are a hard side to beat one their home ground and will rise to the occasion.

Qualifying Final
Roleystone V Noranda
This will be a heated game this week being a rematch from last weeks final round. Noranda will be dirty that Roleystone Reserves knocked out Norandas Reserves from playing finals. I can’t see much between these sides as they match up well all over the ground. This will be an absolute ripper to watch. It will go down to the wire. Roleystone will emerge from this battle with the win but at what cost? I see a few sore bodies coming out of this clash.

Reserves
Forrestdale have the bye this week. So far they have met every challenge thrown at them. They are a well coached side and well disciplined. Next week returning to Stirling for a home final will certainly challenge them no matter who they play.
Elimination Final
Osbourne Park V Roleystone
Both sides had good wins last week to finish the season. Roleystone have had the wood over Osbourne Park this year beating them twice but this is finals footy. Roleystone don’t play to well away from their tiny ground. They are playing at Forrestdale which is bigger than it used to be after the ground got re surfaced in the off season. It looks to be about 20m longer and will trouble Roleystone. The got demolished there earlier this season and don’t have fond memories of it. Still Osbourne Park will have to be at their best to win this one. I’m tipping Osbourne Park to win a tight battle.

Qualifying Final
Stirling V Rossmoyne
These two sides are 1 a piece after the regular season. Neither side has the luxury of the home ground. Last week Stirling weren’t at their best and Armadale pushed them for a fair amount of the game. Rossmoyne got swept under the cricket mats last week with Forrestdale showing no mercy. I think this week’s Rossmoyne side will have a few inclusions to strengthen them. So who will win? I think we could toss a coin for this one. I’m going out on a limb and tipping Rossmoyne in an upset.

Good luck to all teams in all grades this week. You should all be proud to make Finals no matter what the outcome is after this week. There are plenty of other sides that would love the opportunity but just missed out. Remember to play hard and to play fair. Socialise with the opposition after the game and enjoy a few frothies. After all, this is why we play this great game.
