TOPIC:

Well we are at the business end of the year now and a few results surprised me last round to finish the regular season off. To the boys outside the 5 enjoy the silly Sunday / mad Monday! Looking at the results briefly I see Cottesloe lost league and there reserves made the cut! Canning have made the late dash to make the top 5 with great form coming into finals And the top of the table clash went the way of Piara teams with ease… 

Elimination final - Reserves
Belmont vs Cottesloe - Belmont will be confident here and with the league out could have a strong side here if qualified. Cottesloe to have home ground advantage will help but not enough to get over Belmont.

Qualification final - Reserves
Piara vs Canning - Piara had a good win over ladder leaders and will be full of confidence coming into this week. Canning have been growing in the second half of the year and beat piara last time they met. Piara will be a better side this time around and take the game out. 

Elimination final - League
Cottesloe vs Canning - Cottesloe to have a big day with both teams in the finals at the same oval. There league team I feel they rested or dropped a couple back last week. But this week will have a full squad. Canning have both teams also but different fields which makes it hard for supporters. This game will be a cracker but the home side to get up with the support helping them over the line. 

Qualification final - League
Brentwood vs Secret Harbour - Brentwood to go back to the drawing board from the weekends lost but have been good against all others. Secret harbour have done well against the lower teams but struggled against the higher teams both teams are well matched I feel and will be a last quarter game Brentwood to get up tho. 

 

The final round saw Piara finish on top undefeated and they did it in style absolutely pantsing Brentwood and leaving them with plenty to think about. Piara having the first week off.

brentwood v secret harbour 
Brentwood will be licking their wounds after last weeks efforts and will not want a repeat of the same performance again this week, Harbour have been good this season and were always going to challenge after last seasons efforts. Brentwood probably have that little bit more polish.

Cottesloe v Canning 
big game for both clubs, not having played finals for a long time. Cott have been up and down at times but pulled together enough wins to finish in a great position and as for the canning cubs they have come from god knows were and slid into 5th. 
Cott at home by 4 goals

well Piara sent a message to the rest of the finals teams last week after a massive win over brentwood, while canning have put together a bunch of old blokes from there 2010 GF team to get a few wins together.
both have one win each but I think canning will take out another being older and wiser by 7 points.

cott v belmont 
big day for cott with both men’s teams at home, belmont may have managed to qualify a some league players, but cott I think will do the damage and start the winning day off with a bang.
