so half way now and for me the ladder look set, maybe ossy Park and Rossy to battle for 5th spot and possibly noranda and Forrestdale might swap places.
stirling look a grade above the rest undefeated with a very nice percentage also rolley have impressed me a lot and are starting to play some great footy. All games last week were fare to say big blow outs apart from rolley who got up in a close one.

this week rolley travel down the hill into Armadale, shouldn’t really take these guys too lightly and need to keep that winning feeling going. Armadale have fought hard so far and hat off to them for keeping the club numbers up all season.
rolley by about 10 goals

noranda should get up at home against ozzy Park, the big question is that dose Frank have enough in the tank to take his team deep in the finals.
Hawks by 5 goals

Rossy must start winning games.... it’s as simple as that. A tuff ask this week but can they pull off the up set of the season. Stirling I think will really turn it on here at home and go all out.
saints by 15 goals

forrestdale v yanchep,
a win less yanchep get belted black and blue every week and still show up the next. Hats off to them, well done fellas. For me I think Forrestdale need to start bleeding some of that talent from there ressies side into there league side if they want to give to spot a real crack, otherwise they will just be making up numbers.
forrestdale by 100 points

good luck everyone.

Great write up KTB, agree that Stirling seem to have really taken it to another level this year and would be elated with their season to date.

Roleystone have been fantastic and if not for a bit of a hiccup against Bayswater away, they’d be undefeated as well. Have some tough away games in the back end of the season which could put them to the test.
a few good recruits from surrounding clubs and an ability to play their small ground better than just about anyone else in the lower grades of amateurs, makes them a genuine threat going into finals.

Noranda have been fantastic this season and Frank has done a monumental job after the position the club had themselves in last year. I expect them to hold onto their spot and get the all important double chance come finals.

Forrestdale have been good, but not as good as I’d expected them to be this year and not on the same level they were at in 2021. Their reserves have some serious talent and it’s curious why a few aren’t up in the 1s, where they should be.

Osborne Park have been a huge surprise packet this year and after a horrible opening game defeat to Noranda, have put some good wins on the board.
They currently sit in 5th spot with 4 points and a game in hand on Rossmoyne.

Rossmoyne have been a big disappointment this year, after being a consistent team in this grade for a number of years. While I’m not sure if it’s injuries, fifo or the loss of a few guys back to the country, I did expect more from them. They seem to have lifted a gear in recent weeks, so I expect them to throw everything into the back half of the season and stake a challenge for a finals spot.

Bayswater have probably gone about as well as we would of expected, though have had a couple of surprise results that no one would of predicted. To go from knocking off Roleystone one week to getting rolled by Armadale just a few weeks later.
I don’t see them mounting much of a challenge in the back end of the year, but they may cause a headache or 2 to a few teams.

Armadale have shown a lot of improvement this year and were even able to take a very respectable win in c4 for the first time since 2017. They’ve also been able to keep 2 sides on the park, which is a credit to those at the club.
a couple of heavy losses in recent weeks might have dented the confidence a little bit, but I hope for the clubs sake they can keep the positive performances up in the back end of the year.

Yanchep have had a bit of a rough year since making the return to the 2 team competition. Unfortunately it isn’t going to get a whole lot easier this weekend, so I hope the club can keep together and look for a strong end to the season.

This weeks tops

Stirling over Rossmoyne by 10 goals
Roley over Armadale by 12 goals
Noranda over Osborne Park by 8 goals
Forrestdale over yanchep by 18 goals

Top 5
Stirling
Roley
Noranda
Forrestdale
Rossmoyne
