It was a perfect day for footy Saturday and a couple of teams took the opportunity to grab an upset! Second placed Hamersley Carine snuck past the undefeated High Wycombe away from to snatch a four point win, it must have been a hectic last few minutes in front of the Bulldog faithful. The struggling Coolbinia Falcons got over a disappointing Mosman Park to keep the finals race alive. Kwinana took care of SNESA as expected although the score suggests the Ex-scholars put up a fight. The Valley did what needed to be done against a never give up Kenwick in front of a great crowd for past players and Sponsor's Day. Unfortunately Dianella Morley forfeited both grades against Gosnells which throws the rest of their season into doubt and the integrity of the competition as well. If they fail to get up the best thing IMO would be to wipe all of their results so far or record all their games as 90 to 1 losses. hopefully they can regroup and rebuild over the summer.

Looking forward to round 11.

Mosman Park v High Wycombe

This game looms large for the Mossies after their upset loss on the weekend. It puts them back with the chasing pack and unfortunately hosting a Bulldogs outfit on the rebound from a loss for the first time this season. It's hard to see the Bulldogs dropping two in a row, they should get it done by five goals or more.

Gosnells V SNESA

A huge game for these two, the loser may find it very difficult to keep pace with the top five and if the Hawks get up they will be in the five if Mossies lose as expected. The Hawks at home for mine in a tight one.

Kwinana v Coolbinia

The Falcons impressed with a win over Mossies on the weekend but the trek down the freeway to the Knights HQ is a tough one. Kwinana will want to keep the double chance and possible home final alive and will not drop this one at home. Knights by 5 goals.

Kenwick v Dianella Morley

If the Raiders can get a team on the park the Royals will get a win.

Hamersley Carine v Swan Valley

Big win as discussed earlier by the Hawks on Saturday and they host a Valley side that hasn't matched it with the three teams above them as yet. It should be a good contest as the round 2 clash was tight until the last 5-10 minutes. The Hawks are flying at the minute though and will be tough to beat at home, Hawks by three goals.

Indeed it was a great day for football before the heavens opened up on Sunday!
coolbinia getting back on the winners list once again knocking off mossy and may of done valley a favour to help keep them in the 5, snesa put up a fight but kwinana too strong. Hamersley and High Wycombe was a great game with the doggies coming out of the blocks fast kicking the first two and from there it was all one way traffic for hamersley I think kicking the next 8 going into half time, an off the ball incident seen a bit of push n shove and some great use of words from the High Wycombe faithful in the crowds before umpires finally took control to separate the two and lead the teams off the ground into the change rooms, after halftime the doggies came out charging once again to claw it back and got a late goal on the siren to peg it right back, it felt like the doggies had all the momentum but made a few fumble errors which cost them in the end and the hawks held on to win by 4 points.

this week I’m going with
doggies over mossy by 6 goals
gossy with a big win over snesa
kwinana at home over Coolbinia by 8 goals
kenwick maybe to have a week off pending if DM can get a few players together, ( on a side note, I think it was 2017 that when DM beat SNESA in the GF, and also they have won back to back in the 9’s preseason competition)
hawks to carry that massive winning feeling after last week, I’m sure there will be a few sore bodies but the will get up over valley by 4 goals.

good luck everyone

It certainly was a great day for footy. Results went fairly as predicted accept for mossies v coolbinia, maybe injuries for mossies or coolies getting their act together. Be hard seeing anyone getting close to Carine sadly.

This week for me

Wycombe
Snesa to cause an upset
Kwinana by a lot
Kenwick
Carine.

Interesting to see what happens with DM. Sad state of affairs.
