This weekend we will see a flock of falcons come to the hawks nest and take over in my opinion one of the most finest ground in the competition.
Gosnells oval will play host to Piara Waters and Forrestdale in both ressies and league. Well done to both clubs for getting both teams through.
In a football season that potentially wasn’t meant to happen we have seen this shortened season finally come to an end and the c4’s two finest will battle it out. Should be a great day out at gosnells oval with maybe a slight shower in the morning, otherwise perfect day for footy. Iv had some great memories playing at gosnells oval back in the old Sunday league days, but that’s a story for another time.

Piara Waters $1.80 v Forrestdale $2.10
In the ressies can Piara finish off a perfect season and win the flag going all season undefeated. Forrestdale have come off a massive win taking down the noranda league boys and I’m sure now take that confidence into this weekend. Only a couple of goals separated these two last time they met, and for me I think it might go Piara Waters way again
Piara Waters by 22 points

Forrestdale $1.70 v Piara Waters $2.65
A lot of hype for the first time these two went at it, needless to say it was a bit of disappointing effort by Piara getting a 9 goal hiding. Round two came about in the semi finals with Piara going down by only 4 goals. This weekend see’s Forrestdale start there season off as a hunter to now becoming the hunted. They can also finish a perfect season undefeated premiers if they win this one. The wide open spaces of gosnells will suit both teams as the like to run and carry the ball. Both teams with quality players, I think this will come right down to the wire.
I’m tipping Piara to win, with a kick after the siren by 2 points.

Good luck to all teams and both clubs on the weekend.

Great write up KTB. Was fortunate enough to catch both games out at Piara over the weekend.

Ressies
2 very different teams, Forrestdale with plenty of young quicks, while Piara have the harder, bigger bodies. This one will be a cracker, but I think the older heads of Piara will get the job done and cap off the perfect season by 3 goals.

League
Piara had a relatively straight forward win over Rossmoyne, though horrible kicking by the rhinos early on made it easy for the falcons in the end. They are quite a big team and it was the size difference that really stood out to me over the weekend.
The big wide ground at gosnells will suit the Forrestdale runners a lot more and I’m tipping them to do this one quite easily over Piara, who will get the chance to do it all again in 2021.
Falcons of the Forrestdale variety by 5 goals

Well well well here we are as you said KTB we are so lucky to have a season and look forward to some great grand finals this weekend. I didn't catch the games on the weekend but I was surprised Forrestdale reserves got up looking at there result against Noranda only a few weeks ago. I suppose with Forrestdale league having the week off they were able to play all there qualified players in the twos. Piara Waters showed that both falcon sides are way too good for the rest of the comp after an easy win over Rossmoyne. It will be interesting to see how Rossy go next year as they will most likely lose all there permit players.

C4 Grand finals
Reserves
Last time these sides met it was Piara who got up by a couple of kicks but I think this will be a whole different ball game. If Forrestdale league side come in full strength then I expect the ressies to be a very talented outfit. I think we know it will be very close and I'm going to tip Forrestdale by 8 points with a late goal to seal it.

League
Piara were much better the 2nd time these sides met with Forrestdale kicking the last 3 or 4 goals of the game to run away with it. One thing we know for sure is this is going to be a great game to watch the pressure will be high and the ball will be moving fast as both these sides play similar game styles. I think the big ground will suit Forrestdale more as they are younger and fitter so will tip them by 3 goals in a great game of footy.

Forrestdale in both grades for me.

Fantastic effort from both clubs to make the dance in both grades. Especially Forrestdale who have been up and down from E grade a few times. Just how’s how important colts are to clubs ATM.

Good luck to both sides tomorrow

Well the only happy falcon leaving the Hawks nest on Saturday afternoon was the Piara Waters Falcons they managed to take out both ressies and league flags.
A fantastic effort from the Piara ressies finishing off the season undefeated and claiming victory on the Saturday (the only team this year in the PFL to do so, as the other undefeated teams from other grades fell short). Forrestdale really stuck with them up until midway of the third before Piara started to gain more control and came home with a 20 point win.
For the league game well I thought I was fairly even up until half time then it was all one way traffic and Forrestdale just couldn’t seem to find there feet, Forrestdale didn’t score after half time which was unusual to see as they kicked there lowest score all season. The small forward for Piara was causing headaches as he was kicking goals from everywhere and the C4 BnF winner from Forrestdale just couldn’t make an impact on the game, he started on the wing before going forward to try and make an impact but the ball was rarely sited down there and when it was the Piara players cleared it with ease.
I’m not sure why after the game the Forrestdale supporters came onto the field to attack the umpires calling them cheaters while also swearing and abusing them, I thought the game was umpired well and Piara just wanted it more.

Well done everyone on the weekend.

Concur 100%..was at game. Forrestdale had nothing to complain about.
Dare say a little over confident and will undoubtedly learn from the experience.

I caught both games on Saturday and Piara dersevedly winners in both grades. In the league game Forrestdale looked the better team for the 1st quarter but then it was all Piara after quarter time. Forrestdale were completely outplayed on the day and it was disgusting behaviour from the Forrestdale fans after the game to storm on the field and blame the umpires.
