Well the final round of the year is upon us and the top 4 all locked away, all that this round will count for is ladder positions and venues next week.
Piara bounced back in a big way, with an utter demolition job over North Beach to round out the regular season. With the week off before a rematch with Forrestdale, was it a good preparation though?
Forrestdale took care of Osborne Park fairly comfortably and are now in a prime position to take top spot. A fantastic effort from a club who were right down the bottom last year and credit to all on the committee for this.
Roley had a big win over Bayswater up the hill. Roley have now strung a couple of big wins together and will be looking to secure the all-important home final when they take on the Rhinos at the Shelley mudpit. As for Baysie, a year of significant improvement points to a bright future.
A case of crisis averted for Rossmoyne who secured a finals berth and completely obliterated Noranda up on their home deck. If not for some wayward kicking, this one could of been a lot worse.
Noranda confirmed what we all suspected, stacking the reserves in pursuit of a 2's flag.
Round 9-
Forrestdale Vs Noranda
Forrestdale at home in front of their big, vocal crowd will be far too good for Noranda. How many players will Noranda look to get qualified for their reserves tilt in this one?
Falcons by 10 goals.
Osborne Park Vs North Beach
A fair bit of improvement from OP as the season has gone on. The last 2 weeks probably haven't been as close as they'd of liked, but they have taken on 2 of the powerhouses of the competition. As for North Beach, nothing but praise for the guys rocking up week in week out against clubs 1's and 2's.
Osborne Park to have a big win and end their season on a high. OP by 10+ goals
Bayswater Vs Manning
Both clubs have improved a lot in 2020, but Bayswater will have that little bit too much class and run out winners in this one by 5 goals. Credit to both clubs on their seasons this year.
Rossmoyne Vs Roleystone MOTR
Both were expected to play finals and both have locked in their finals spots for 2020. A dress rehearsal for next week's elimination final, that decides on the all-important home ground advantage. Both sides are very physical, so i expect there to be fireworks at some point in the game too.
Both have been playing some good quality football of late, so I expect this to be a cracker.
Home ground advantage will be big for Rossmoyne on their big, wide ground. Given they have the home ground advantage and will want to retain this for the following week, I'm tipping them by 2 goals.
Best of luck to all sides this weekend, particularly those playing their final game of the season.
