Round 5 produced no real surprises. Roleystone went a long way to sealing 4th spot and the last spot in the finals by belting Noranda who seem to have some more internal problems again with last year’s Association F and B playing reserves.
Osbourne Park bounced back to what was looking like a winless season by getting up over Manning , Rossmoyne by over 22 goals against North Beach and Piara Waters flexed their muscles to record a big win over Bayswater despite being down by 2 goals in the second term.

Rossmoyne V Piara Water
Easily the match of the round. Micheal Florios Piara Waters are looking short favourites for the season and will look to really put one of their main challenges to the sword at home. Chad Sandilands dominates the ruck giving first use to his midfielders . The Falcons are very well drilled by Florio and have a lot of depth and will beat the Rhinos by 5 goals

Manning V Noranda
Despite their internal problems Noranda will be too good for the Rippers and get a good moral boosting victory by over 6 goals

Osbourne Park V Bayswater
Ossis Park bounced back and will take something me good form into this game at home and will be too good for Bayswater.

North Beach V Forrestdale
Forrestdale will get up by over 25 goals here. North Beach are way out of their League here and will be glad the season is almost over.

Most the games went to plan, but I didn’t expect Noranda to drop off so much but with the so called riff this must be effecting the club. Osborne park came out with a big statement win and Each round now is more important each week and I see this round the most important with the ladder positioning.

Rossmoyne V Piara Water - MOTR this will be a huge game to get the round started hopefully the weather holds off so they get a good game. Rossy have played well against the top Enders with the influx of new players there a different team. Piara have taken each week on and been tested but have put each of them away there well trained.
Piara have the form and will get up 5 goals

Manning V Noranda - Really hard to pick this manning turn up every second week and with Noranda having problems working together this will test them. I think manning will turn up and take advantage of the situation 3 goals

Osbourne Park V Bayswater - OP got up and will be confident going into this game. There ground is quite large and will test Bayswater with there’s being so small but Bayswater have been competitive against everyone so far. Bayswater will want this more 4 goals

North Beach V Forrestdale - Forrestdale will get up here there fresh from a bye and will want to firing next week against piara. NB have struggled but have been turning up each week which is credit to them. 20 goals Forrestdale

Rossmoyne vs Piara Waters - easily MOTR Rossmoyne seem to have imroved from last year with a new coach and country players. They were very competitive agaisnt Forrestdale a few weeks ago. Piara have showed they are the team to beat though and are very well drilled and I think they'll get up with the home ground advantage by 5 goals

Manning vs Noranda - Manning have been very incosistant so far so who knows which manning team will turn up on the day. I'm not sure if there is problems at Noranda internally but last years b & f could have been playing ressies for other reasons maybe he just couldn't play the league time slot because of other commitments? Regardless, I still think Noranda will be too strong and get up by 4 goals

Osborne park vs Bayswater - Osborne Park surpirsed me with their win last week and Bayswater showed they can be competitive after beating Piara in the 1st quarter. I think bayswater is the better side but OP have the home ground advantage so will be a close one. Bayswater by a goal.

North Beach vs Forrestdale - NB definitly have thrown the towel in C4 the score for this game could be a cricket score. Forrestdale coming off a bye and will want to remain fresh for the top of the table clash against Piara next week that we have all been waiting for. Forrestdale by 25 goals.

Rossmoyne v Piara Waters
Piara too good for this grade atm should win both league and reserves
Will win this be 5 goals

Noranda v Manning

Makes me laugh when sides drop players to reserves to win that flag and expose their league side to misery. I know of a northern club that did that for a few years and won reserve flags when their league got relegated. Let’s hope Noranda haven’t resorted to this here. On the other hand what’s good for 1 team is good for the other so maybe Manning should do the same and drop 5-6 back for their ressies to push finals. But then again maybe they’ll just keep trying to get games into players with all eyes on the future for them. Anyway let’s hope it’s a good game either way
Noranda by 7goals

Osborne Park v Bayswater

Word is Osborne park have a coach change and now players are happy and happy players are resulting in better players it seems. I’ll go with Bayswater just as they look to be playing a little better but being an away fame it’ll be close
Bayswater 2 goals

North Beach v Forrestdale
Well done to Nth Beach sticking the season out.
Forrestdale by plenty 20goals.

Good luck all should be another day of good weather for footy

Piara v Rossmoyne
Should be a good game, no doubt the new country players will help add a bit of grunt to the Rossy team but after half time I’d expect Piara to run away with it.
Piara by 6 goals

Noranda v manning
From all reports a bit of trouble in the hawks nest. By the end of season we possibly could see a few players walk once again and potentially noranda end back in E grade. On the other hand manning may follow the same path... and if that’s the case then hey we are all in for a treat, get ready for a great ressies game.
Manning by 4 points
Noranda in the ressies by 5 goals

Osborn Park v Bayswater
I like what Bayswater bought to the table last week and really stuck it to Piara, I hope they can show that same fire in their belly and get up this week.
Bayswater by 3 points

North beach v Forrestdale
Good luck to the beach boys I hope they can hang in there for four quarters.
Forrestdale by 10 goals

A little rain maybe this weekend could make things interesting.
Good luck everyone
