The half way mark of the season is here and at the moment 2 teams Forrestdale and Piara Water remain unbeaten and look to be with Rossmoyne the 3 teams to beat this season and because it is such a shorter season early momentum is everything. Noranda , Roleystone and Bayswater look to be the teams to fight it out for the final spot in the finals. Noranda have had an easier draw playing both easy beats Osbourne Park and North Beach along with an 8 goal loss to Piara Waters while Roleystone have also had Beach and Osbourne Park. Bayswater had a good 11 goal win over North Beach and were in both games against Rossmoyne and Forrestdale so have claims on 4 spot.
It is no coincidence that the only 2 unbeaten teams in this comp, Forrestdale and Piara Waters , are the only 2 teams with 3 men's teams , thirds or colts , in C4 as it has been a long time since a club has won the C4 Premiership with only 2 teams. In fact It is rare for a club in any grade to win a Premiership with only 2 teams.
This week will see some big games

Roleystone V Noranda
If this game was at Noranda the Hawks would win by 5 goals on the big wide open field. It is at Roleystones very small home ground that gives The Tigers a massive home ground advantage along with their huge and very vocal home crowd. Roleystone will get up by at least 4 goals here and go along way to sealing 4 th spot.

Bayswater V Piara Waters
Bayswater are not without a chance here. They will be fresh of a huge victory over North Beach and are at home. They will need to be at their very best to get up over the rampant Piara Waters and this is a big ask as The Falcons have not missed a beat and should get the job done over Bayswater by 3 goals.

Manning V Osbourne Park
Osbourne Park failed to score a goal against Roleystone at home and they will be one of the teams to be glad the season is almost over. They only won one game last year in C3 and don't look like winning a game this year and will go down to C5. The win could ignite The Rippers season.

Rossmoyne V North Beach.
Should be close to a 20 goal victory for the Rhinos here over North Beaches 3/4s. Some people have said it is their 5/6s but a huge powerful proud club like North Beach would never stack their lower grades so it has to be their thirds and fourths.
North Beach , Manning and Osbourne Park will fight it out to see who gets relegated.

If it is North Beaches 3/4s they're not doing that badly considering its there 44-88th picked players.

I don't think C5 is much easier playing against the top end bigger clubs 3/4s.

North Beach's 3s/4s are playing in C5/C5R against the other 3s/4s teams.

North Beach's 5s/6s are in C4/C4R this season - not surprising that there has been some one sided results given its Beach's 89th to 132nd best available senior players - though their 6s did have a win on the weekend.

I don't think there will be a relegation as such, but maybe they will swap bottom 3 or 4 clubs from C4 with top 3 or 4 clubs in C5 for next year to try and even things up.
A grade clubs 3rd/4ths from C5 could give top five C4 clubs a decent challenge.
Time will tell and it's no point speculating now who would be stronger, we will just have to wait for season 2021.
I think A grade should have the only relegation, with each grade promoting only the Grand final winner (except for C5).

A lot will also depend on 4/5 clubs that went to the E Grades . Maddington went from B Grade to E1 . Secret Harbour C2 to E1 , Lynwood Ferndale C2 to E2, Yanchep C4 to E2. Would they come back to C4 or C5. Worth noting that neither of those clubs are really doing much in the E Grades especially Maddington. They finished 7th in B Grade last year and are struggling to win a game in E1 this year.

Half way now! Every match is important from here for finals positions this week could be a big one with the results having a big ramification for ladder positions..

Roleystone V Noranda - MOTR this will be a interesting match neither side betting a team above them yet and another lose will put them on the back foot even more. Roley haven’t won at home this year and rely on the home ground locals and will have the upper hand with the smaller ground. Noranda will be fresh of the bye and I see them getting up here having a stronger team I feel. 2 goals

Bayswater V Piara Waters - this was close being MOTR Bayswater have been strong so far and no different here they will give piara a run for there money being at home here. Piara haven’t faulted either having put everyone away going on form and ladder position Piara to get up 4 goals

Manning V Osbourne Park - Both have struggled so far yet but a win can kick start something off here. Osbourne park are struggling to put a score on the board and that being the difference in this match manning to kick away 5 goals

Rossmoyne V North Beach - Rossy took a back step with a loss to a ladder leader but I feel they’ll take it on board and will get a strong win here to get the boys up and about. 10 goals

Roley vs Noranda - MOTR for me I think these 2 teams are very similar in ability. Noranda may struggle on the smaller ground in front of the Roleystone fans so I'm tipping Roley by 3 goals.

Bayswater vs Piara - Bayswater have showed they have improived alot from last year but I don't think it will be enough to get over a very well drilled Piara waters team. Piara by 6 goals.

Manning vs Osborne Park - Ozzy park have really struggled this year and I don't think this game will be any different. Manning have also improved from last year and will win this game by 8 goals

Rossmoyne vs North beach - Rossmoyne were quite competitive last week against this years huge improvers. North beach have been very inconsistant and Rossmoyne with the home ground advantage should get upo by 10 goals.

Yes halfway mark as we start to hit the back end now. Let’s all not forget that football is a funny game and anything can happen, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if a lower end team knocks off a top of the table team.

Noranda to have a win up in the hills by 6 goals.

Piara to continue to rest players and they can at this point of time as there twos are also top with good depth. They should have a comfortable win by 8 goals

Manning to get up over a sad and sorry ozzy park side who just can’t seem to get things going this year. Manning by 6 goals

Rossy at home against the beach boys by a lot

Good luck everyone this weekend

well there was a few intersting results over the weekend.

Roleystone showed they are good enough to make the top 4 with a convincing win over Noranda. Noranda look like they will struggle to make finals unless they can get up over Rossmoyne in round 8.

Piara Waters flexed their muscle once again I was following the live scores for the game and noticed Piara down 6 goals to 3 during the 2nd quarter so they must have flicked a switch from there.

Osborne Park getting up over Manning was a bit of a surprise for me after looking at some of the recent results for both sides the odds were in Manning's favour. Is anyone able to give a rundown on that game?

Rossmoyne absolutely smashed North beach as expected and loks like North beach have given up on C4 this year. Rossmoyne looking as strong as roleystone and may fight it out for that 3rd spot on the ladder.

HMac, before we all get on here and say “oh wow what a surprise, Rolly beat noranda”... yes to Roleystones credit they probably did play very well, but it’s clear to see now that noranda are dropping players back to qualify for there twos. If you look at the team sheet the one name in particular is C4 association BnF winner from last year! It’s not rocket science.
