The new facilities in the club are really good, the upgraded seating with drink holders ( ex Subi Oval) are great, the private boxes while I don't use them look good, and the new SFFC Shop is a great addition.

The new outer CUB bar located on the former wog hill has been a real success and was well patronised by Claremont folk on Sunday.

But what is happening over on the prison side with big portions roped off? its been like that all year, does anyone know??

Good to hear Baz, WAFL clubs need to do all they can to make it attractive to come to the footy. That outer at Fremantle has looked a bit ordinary whenever I’ve seen a game on the telly.

Going by that description, it sounds like the Oval redevelopment is starting to get underway. Apparently the train station forecourt, some of the port area will be redeveloped. Fremantle Oval to be upgraded and developed into a community and sporting hub, becoming home to both East Fremantle and South Fremantle football clubs with year-round events apparently. The surrounding land including the Fremantle Hospital carpark is said to be developed also. It has been said Fremantle Oval will be opened up to the public year round, used for concerts and for football every weekend of the WAFL season. That's if the Wafl is still around then.

That shouldn’t come as any great surprise Baz, things progressing slowly in Fremantle, or is Walyalup? That next Greens party leader in waiting Brad Pettit has far more pressing matters to attend like trying to introduce dual Aboriginal names for every place in Fremantle than actually fixing the run down joint.
