Kris Miller's remarkable streak of consecutive WAFL matches has come to an end after he accepted a one-match ban for striking. Miller, played 153 consecutive matches for the Sharks before switching to South Fremantle where he played 129 in a row in just over six seasons. Miller's good record over 15 seasons meant the level-three offence was downgraded, but it was considered serious enough for him to receive a suspension. A charge was laid by the WAFL operations manager after the report review panel viewed vision of an incident noted by the match umpires in the match against West Perth. It was Miller's 282nd senior match, taking him to equal ninth place on the WAFL games record alongside West Perth's Paul Mifka.
