The battle of the two unbeaten sides so far in the season, promises to be a ripper game.
Mouth watering potential match ups all over the ground

Pullman V Shephard
Wilson V Wheeler
Hockey v Kitchin
Shaw V Lockyer
Hams V Horsley
Branchi / Strom V Delahunty / Wheeler

As always will come down to the midfield and who can win enough ball and provide enough quality ball to their forwards. SF Forwards need to take their opportunities when presented to them this week.
Tough night at selection with plenty of lads knocking on the door ie Florenca ,Dragovich , Warrell , Stewart , Bailey Matera and Vandeleur pressing hard.

Hoping that the SF crowd turn out in numbers to support the team.

Quite a few big match ups there mate, will the weather play a part if its wet? I think it will. In the wet I expect $alary to win, if its dry then South will get close, but I still expect the Lion$ to get up

Spot on about the forwards, we need to improve on last week re accuracy, We come off a pretty hard game in warm conditions, Subi will be fresh and rested after the break.

Looks like it will be slippery, our bigger forwards will need to hang onto everything.

Yep, lets hope a decent crowd gets along, showers plus the dorks are on TV, although lets hope people have moved on from them, not exactly going to be a thriller in Adelaide is it!

Great to see Shaw back in the fold n firing....got a rough deal with injury at Port from the sounds of things....at his size and ability hopefully he will get another elite level gig.....Freo or WCE will be silly not to consider him for next year.....especially if Shaw can bag 50 plus goals for you this year.....with Lockyer out Shaw could be in for a few goals on Sat rain hail or shine

Lockyer is out so I think that tips the game in your favor. He's the form CHB in the comp and we'll need all out backs firing to get hold of the quality in your forward half.

Kennedy is named for us and he's the obvious one to run with Duckdown Hams, is very strong has a big tank and is as short as Hams so will be better able to get under his arm raises, should be a great contest by two quality small players.

Still believe the Lions will be slight favourites SS. Your midfield is all quality Horsley , Robinson , Cockie , Kitchen ,Phelan , Bogensperger ,Twomey , Mahoney. etc. The Dogs are going to have to be on our best form to go close imo.
Ashton Hams is a quality player and will rise to the challenge irrespective of what role he will play tommorow. Looking forward to this one.

I would also put Subi at slight favs, our mids came and went a bit v EF, they will not be able to that v a quality unit like Subi.

Really have to wonder sometimes about some AFL clubs in their conditioning of players like bulking Shaw up and now he is away from the system he is getting his body back to normal. I think the overtrain in the wrong areas
