what a great effort today in the wet... SD never really looked in it after quarter time Shane Hockey was brilliant & might prove to be one of best ever recruits

Spot on mate, comprehensive victory up there today in crap conditions, set it up in the 2nd and then walked all over them in the last.

Really impressed with the gut running and endeavour today, Hams again great.

I tipped SD for the spoon, after seeing them today they were worse than I expected, appaling level of effort and lack personelle. 2 goals in a game is a joke.

Souths are looking strong good to see

2 from 2 is a good start - however it must be taken into account that both wins have come against sides not at full strength

From reports Hockey had another good game & the conditions would have suited him down to the ground

Heard Marli Pickett was outstanding again too , he was brilliant last week

Tough challenges still to come so a cleaner idea of where we're really at will be quite clear

Feel for the Basso boys we've been there ourselves recently & it aint a good place

Good day out at Basso three solid wins from all grades.
Our attack on the ball and the way we adapted to the conditions in the wet in the second quaerter was first class.
Pleasing to see that our inside 50s were 57 last week and 50 again this week. We are giving our forwards plenty of opportunity to kick winning scores and our midfield is starting to win more football. Let's hope it continues.

Impressive today mate and will challenge the top teams if you can stay injury free, surprised me tbh as I had South second last, but just shows no one really knows what a season will dish up until the real stuff begins. Long way to go though and history is littered with teams starting like a train and ending up know where and teams losing a few early in a row and playing their best footy as the season hots up, I can only hope

As a football club we can't get too carried away with our start to the season... Great to get Two early wins for sure however we started like this early last only to fade to crap...

Though i admit the feeling around the club is different I believe we certainly have a better side on paper & someone like Hockey makes a big difference

Yep I agree, today was barely a test, v EP should be a much more like the real thing. EF went down today, a pity as I was looking forward to a big build up to the first derby, the real test will be Subi.

Boys far from getting carried away and getting ahead myself. However you can only beat what the oppo put on the park.
Plus our record at Basso has always been piss poor so to win one up there is a bonus.

Like all teams we will need to have some luck and not be ravaged by injuries.
