You had player retirements that would have freed up a fair bit of cash.

Still not sure where your coming from , the point is they never had the cash to counter/match.

What are you going to use for payments bottle tops,i find it hard to believe that South couldnt at least match our offer on Jones!

More like South didnt want to pay what we offered,not that they couldnt afford it.

At 32 yrs old perhaps SF werent prepared to pay overs like Perth were.....especially with all SF good exciting youngsters along side the likes of experienced guys in Hams, Cook and Hockey......Jones more so needed at Perth and more so for the money he may of been asking for especially since this is Jones last footy contract......anyway SF have 30K with AhChee drafting to go out and get some one young and as good.......win win for both clubs

I would have thought Jones being a favourite son and all that that Souths would have bent over backwards to get his services,how much over did we pay for him?

Anyway he will now provide Perth with that hardness and experience through the middle that you posted South were going to get with his services.

Win win for both clubs......I merely posted on SF4eva info that Jones was a done deal, obviously if SF were desperate for him they would of bettered PFC offer to Jones.....with 30 k from AhChee drafting perhaps they have someone else in mind.....who knows?.....Perth need Jones experience in the midfield whilst at SF Jones would of ADDED to SF midfield experience.....anyway Jones is a 12 pt player at PFC no doubt getting well paid to boot and fits Perths needs apparently.......like I said win for Perth and not all doom and gloom for SF....

30K that is desperatley needed mate, I can tell you that, the Annual Report comes out next week so could make interesting reading re financials.

Re Jones, I did think of the value issue considering his age, does anyone know what his form has been like in Vic? Not always easy to fit big payments in regardless.

They didnt want to pay it because they couldnt afford it. Football department has been told to reign in spending.

Ever which way you look at it, it comes down to very poor management.
