has resulted in a 20 point win for the Lions - both sides playing their young blokes & some recruits , the usual shuffles & trials
Glad the footy is back & congrats to the Maroons on their victory

Popped down to Leederville last Fri night. Saw us look slick and quick in the first qu kicking 5 gls to 2 . . . and then 2 more for the rest of the night as Subi put on heaps more pressure.

Saunders way out of touch, looked slow dare I say and had just the one kick I'd say.

Wilson looked good - solid down back. Schloithe continued where he left off.

Lost by 30 pts in the end but Subi kicked the last 3 late in last. Madut for Subi looked good in the ruck. Big leap. Could be a handful in the clearances but may be exposed around the ground. Kitchen seems to be a ball magnet who runs through the lines and gets to multiple contests in a row. Will be hard to stop.

Ressies won by a few gls. Ah Sui for me was a standout. Can still play colts I believe but will play league early on I'd say. Looks the goods. Hams, Collica, Pullman, Borovac, Carter, Martinez, Verrier, Sgherza, all played in the ressies. Dell'olio didn't play at all but was there and Dylan Ross was also absent???

Anyway, footy is back.

I spoke to someone at the club tonight and said not to be concerned about last Friday night as the boys were experimenting in different positions and were looking forward to Round 1. The side will look totally different come Round 1.

Watched the intraclub last Friday good hit out by Souths. Highly competitive and very strong list in my regard.
Few injuries from what I saw, Borovac and hams disn't finish the game. Also young mills was carried of the field in the second half which is no good, thought he was a shoe in for league side this year.
All in all looking like a good year for South with a few great pick ups!

Mills would have to improve sharply to what I saw of him last season.
