i remember when one colourful character from that era Dale Reeves got rubbed out long term for whacking one or more opponents playing for Souths and he showed up at my ammo club CBC for training one night. the plan was for him to play a few games for us but eventually someone thought better of it. he had the tightest shorts i've ever seen on a footy player...he was a bit different that's for sure.

if they're oldies you know mate then there's every chance you know me. played footy at CBC from about 1976 to 1984 from memory then went up north with work...also played cricket at CBC during roughly the same period

yes...I knew them all very well. Dad Desi and sons Ross, Dave and Rob...Rob was taken far too young....

yep..i think that's why he finished up at CBC at the start of the next year initially coz he was serving a long holiday at WAFL level.

He came up to Karratha in '79 or '80 as a guest coach for my junior team u/12's i think & he told us before the game started dont worry about winning the game just make sure you win the fights haha...I liked him...

I reckon it was a case of he didn't have the bottle to get Peake so he picked the soft option.
He tried to rough up Bosustow at Fremantle oval one day in '79. Gibellini soon sorted him out.
