Was really looking forward to this one, until I saw the start time, 7.10pm! The thought of getting out of Latho after 9pm doesn't excite me. 

Thankfully TVW 7 have a live broadcast suits me better.

It is being done because something has to be tried to boost Wafl attendances I would have thought. Overnight minimum temperatures are currently not cold. It would be a good way to spend an evening instead of lazing on the lounge. It should be an exciting opening round match this one. Hopefully attendances improve this season and beyond.

the sudden spate of day games transferred to night games is totally due to the new TV deal with channel 7
it also explains why there have been several grounds now upgrading or in the process of upgrading their lighting to be able to host these fixtures that will be broadcast by channel 7
