Rest in eternal peace mate - you were an absolute professional champion in every true sense of the words.

Long list of family involved here too many to list , some still playing the game.

Good on you mate thoughts with the family - 99 is a bloody good dig !

On the 5th of March Club Legend Steve Marsh sadly passed away aged 99.
It is known to all that Marsh's Football Career was one of the best, both at the Bulldogs, and in the State.
He was recognised for his achievements when he was inducted into our first Hall of Fame night in 2011 , Further to this in 2015, Steve was elevated to Legend Status along with 7 other SFFC Greats.
Marsh was widely known as one of the greatest rovers, but not limiting him to just this, his speed and skills in general were outstanding. His confidence radiated making him a great leader that all followed when things got tough.
His ability to read and direct the play proved to be a game-breaker many times.Sandover Medalist in 1952, however, Steve believed he could have won a few more of those if he didn't "chat to the umpires" when he thought they made an error. 
In Steve's 12 Seasons (1945-56) on the field for the Bulldogs he curated a "Football Resume" like no other. Throughout his career, he totaled 226 games!

widely regarded as probably the best ever exponent of the "stab pass" - some even say Steve was it's inventor.

Bernie Naylor's chest was covered in leather lace welt scars in later life

Sad news , pretty much last of the era, had the pleasure of meeting the little champ and few times, still a character to the end, I think we all knew he was getting on.

And of course of TVW 7 FAME when WORLD OF FOOTBALL and WANFL was running BIG.

RIP Stevie - should be a big send off.
