Going into this one with one bloody horrible nagging feeling that the Ground would be used against us , having this ridiculously shortened "season" and then losing Jake Florenca against that midfield - I had some reservations for sure
The game turned out to be an arm wrestle everywhere not pretty and not a showcase at all however we got two breaks during the game which Claremont just couldn't quite get over despite briefly taking the lead
and that sums it up

No over the top stuff here - the CV-19 shit & stooopid fixturing that didn't equally give opportunity , sorry but 8 games just doesn't cut it

will look forward to 2021 with a fuller set of qualifying games and a few returning players

be a good time to also acknowledge all the other clubs and their unluckiness to have this shortened season , a couple of them might have snuck into the top four given more time

Shortened seasn or not WE got to go and watch our teams and seasons end the best teams won their respective grades. Could it have been better of course but enjoy what we got!

but we needed another month's worth of games - and for several reasons
no club was willing to play open attractive footy coz there just weren't enough games to claw anything back in time
short quarters didn't help that mind you

Congratulations to the clubs that pushed for a season to go ahead, We where lucky to have one at all, and the GF was the thriller with the two best teams playing off. Just think grounds all over Victoria are empty still.

Fantastic result for South we have knocked on the door for years 3 prelims and a runner up last year in a shocker.

We came back and did the job in dramatic style after a bad 2nd Semi , in our 120th year.
