Opportunity to put the batteries on the charger and regain some players for the next few weeks - this week's fixtures will either sort out a couple more sides in the Finals picture or create a bit of a clog around 4th & 5th positions for those remaining three games
Might be the most interesting round so far in our bye

Starting to PAN out as an interesting season, infact probably the best in years, with the usual suspect Subi not being part of finals action for the first time in YONKS, replaced with the much maligned DEMONS once again we are talking decades for them, no real surprise for me, I was confident the shorter season format would suit an early bolter club like Perth, just think how many finals they would of played if all the season had wound up in July!

The win over Subi had some gloss taken off it with them getting rolled again.

Anyway I hope the bye hasnt put us to sleep, Peel is probably a good warm up after and I look forward to a big win.

Then it gets more serious the Royals and more so PERTH out at Latho, quite looking forward to the trip out to Latho for a revved up Perth on the brink of FINALS action.

To be honest Baz I think this season is unfolding beautifully for your blokes. Undefeated so far with a bye to freshen before the last two games to tune up then finals. It couldn't set you up any better I reckon.

Also this season doesn't really allow a team to build up a Home ground advantage.
Just looked at the fixtures card and noticed that out of the current 24 league matches played, 11 Home teams have won, whereas 13 Away teams have bagged the 4 points.

Yes it scewes things significantly when a team like for example Swans gets home games against the stronger teams so loses them but plays away games against some comparable or weaker teams. Subi lost 3 home games so far, 2 against top 4 teams in SF & CL the other v EP.
