Old fashioned affair and despite trying to kick ourselves out of it we've managed to get it done - full credit to our old rivals though and I reckon they will be in the September stuff once again if today is any indication
A real slog

Tough win by the boys today with a flukey Northerly breeze. We lead from go-to-woe. The biggest margin all day was 10pts. We did it with two big outs - Schloithe & Main.

Absolute grind today, Souths a bit tougher with their pack marks. Fantastic rivals between these two clubs, a real tradition.

You blokes make it sound like the game was played in atrocious conditions. If that score line was from an AFL match you anti AFL protesters would be all over it like a nasty little rash. FMD 5.9 to 4.7.

Geez Perth win games against 2 sides that are tipped to finish 7th & 8th and some of you Perth boys feel you can get stuck into other teams performances!! And you think Subi people are arrogant FMD.

No arrogance at all SS just making an observation a few blokes sink the boots into AFL games for being low scoring affairs but here it seems it's all ok. Conditions weren't that bad yesterday.

Don't worry SS, Subi will be back with a bang next week with an almighty flogging of your next victim, Swans I think. But no doubt you blokes will put a positive spin on it for the Swans boys.

No they weren't atrocious conditions it was one of those days where the forwards of both teams just didn't have an influence on the scoreboard
But you are right about one thing - I am one of a rapidly growing band that despise VFL / AFL or whatever it is called football

Always have trepidation heading up to the Joondalup, not a good ground for us at the best of times.

Great to come away with the 4 points, given the highly important outs we had.
