Looking forward to the Sharks smacking the Bulldogs on their home deck to open up the 2020 campaign. Loersch to kick 6 in a 5 goal win

Bloody disappointing but there you go.

Count yourself lucky if you get anywhere near that Bazza. Bill's Bullsharks didn't exactly inspire confidence among their supporters with 2.6 for the game including just 4 behinds for the entire second half in perfect conditions on their home deck.

That after only 5 goals I think the previous week.

Souths might be a bit too rough and tough for the Sharks so Bill might hold a few of his stars back like yesterday. B)

What a surprise that the nuffies at Perth take trial games as gospel. They've been doing it for years and it always ends in tears.

The Old Easts can more than hold their own in a derby BC - and without the sort of protection you guys get from the umpires too.

I have to agree with DD, I was planning on going to the derby with a couple of mates. no chance now after that performance. I have bailed out. refuse to support that rubbish. we are either really that bad (quite possible) or again Subiaco will be undefeated this year.

I often chat to people I know about how different the comp would of been if Subiaco were not in it during the last 20 years. This is not meant as disrespectful to Subi, just a hypothetical.
This is in thoughts to who would of played in grand finals and won flags and the general more evenness and unpredictability of games. You of course would still have the strong sides and the weaker sides, but I reckon there would of been more chances of the bottom sides beating the top side, as I don't reckon any side, barring Subi has been unbeatable the last 20 years.

oh well, it is what it is...

Good luck for the people that do go to the derby. I'm mowing the lawn instead!

Rud, interesting you were planning on going to the derby before the Subi result, probably a decision influenced from the competitive performance v Cl the week before...understand jumping ship if a full strength EF side scored 2.6 v Subi....but it wasn't....would like to think a full strength EF can push SF deep into the game on Sat....be good for the club, fans and comp if they could.....

I reckon that if souths could only dispose of us in the manner they did on Saturday then EF might be in with a chance if all the good EF players are on the park. The chance maywell be slim but ya never know!

It wasn't lack of effort by East Freo that saw them cop a hiding, they were just badly undermanned. At full strength I have no doubt last weekend's scratchy would have been a lot closer.

BC unless these "stars" were all carrying something other than Bills bags, it makes no sense to rest player's in the lead in scratch match to an 8 game season.

We've had a really good preparation against two good sides who I think we will be vying with for a top 4 berth in WP and SD. Both games went down to the wire.
