Rudy Riddoch is facing jail time after pleading guilty at the last minute to a charge of aggravated assault against his former partner after she picked him up from the WPFC after the 2018 GF loss to Subiaco while driving on the freeway with her kids in the car.

He had also served a community based order for a similar charge against the same partner two years prior so this is why the judge has told him to expect a term of imprisonment. He faces up to 7 years in jail. Both the WAFC and WPFC claim they knew nothing up until Friday. I’m calling BS on that one . Absolute bullshit. Another cover up by this football club and the WAFC.

That is pretty piss poor form SS this is obviously a serious alleged assault charge against a WP player and you some how have to bring SD into it.
Considering what has gone down of late by some $ubi players including Alliston Pickett & Boland etc glass houses spring to mind!

BH it’s not an “alleged assault”, he has pleaded guilty at the last minute before the trial was due to begin. And the previous assault he was found guilty and served a community based order. He is due to be sentenced next month. And good on that girl for speaking out to the media.

What pisses me off is this is a serious charge that WP must have known about and if they did their due diligence they would have known that this wasn’t his first rodeo and therefore should have been stood down from playing football. No way known West Perth would have been a finals contender in 2019 without Rudy Riddoch. He had a breakout year and was significant in clashes against Perth. But hey, WP keep getting praised for their proud finals record and keep on being excused by the WAFC. An investigation is required not only into WP but it should be external and including what the WAFC knew about this serious matter.

There’s a very long grape vine in this business so don’t feed us bullshit that you didn’t know or weren’t aware of it. Total and utter bullshit.

I'm not sure I agree DD. He only pleaded guilty when it came to trial so there was always the presumption of innocence until that point and you wouldn't stop him playing footy until due process had taken place. I do agree however, that WP and the WAFC must have known so not sure why they're saying differently.

BC given his prior conviction and his team mates and their partners would have had knowledge of the latest assault and in any case players would have it written in their contracts a duty of disclosure to inform the club of such matters. I find it laughable the WPFC and WAFC deny any knowledge of it prior to Friday. But I’m not surprised coming from these two organisations.
