The bill that was introduced to extradite Hong Kong residents to mainland China to face trial has been permanently scrapped. It's a huge psychological win for the Hong Kong people and sends a message to China they don't want to be controlled by China and I don't think it will end here. I think this will encourage Hong Kong people to seek independence from China altogether.
