Congratulations to Scott Morrison he has been a boots and all roll up your sleeves PM from day one and never wavered from his conviction and beliefs and never got spooked by the polls that obviously Labor were thriving on. He has proven he is and was always the best man to lead the country and Australia got it right. He has had to do it on the back of the toxic egoism of Malcom Turnbull who even after quitting politics continued to jetset around talking about the "madness" that cost him the prime ministership when it was in fact him who knifed an "elected" Prime Minister. And not to mention his Brat son who urged voters in Wentworth not to vote Liberal in the by-election after Daddy quit. And while i'm on that subject of Wentworth, it looks like the woman who caused all the chaos leading up to the election allowing illegal immigrants the chance to get to our shores which cost us taxpayers in excess of a 100 Million bucks to re-open Christmas island in case the boats started coming, Kerryn Phelps looks like losing her seat she held only in a by-election and held it for what? 6 months? Lol

And this win is a win for commonsense against all the Climate Change Nutters that were pushing for unrealistic carbon emissions targets that could have had a devastating effect on the economy. All the media I have heard so far last night and this morning is Labor playing the blame game on Clive Palmer and scare campaigns. As long they believe that is the reason they got their arse kicked they will remain in opposition for a long long time.

You are never truly a Prime Minister until you have been elected by the people as Prime Minister. Scott Morrison is now OUR Prime Minister and I believe he will be a great one.

Beautifully said DD...and not only is he fully franked but his dividend has been imputed, he is positively geared and his capital fully gained as well.

GTR just listening to ABC radio and the libs might even get to 78, great result given the Libs wont have to negotiate with the gaggle of independents which only results in legislative paralasys.
Gotta love listening and reading some of the sulking labour comments, they cant accept that the electorate have not voted them in in a landslide, they continue to disrespect the Australian voters. Even heard they are now claiming that voting box tampering has occurred and that why they lost, bloody unbelievable bunch of sooks, it's that or it was all Palmers fault, they cant come to terms with the fact that the elctorate did not trust Shorten, Plibasek, and the rest of the labour leadership group and their policies and returned the Libs with an increased number and absolute majority in the house of Reps and an improved situation in the Senate.

Spot on SS, Labor are playing this humiliating loss straight out of the Hillary Clinton Democrats playbook. Now they will be focussing on a witch hunt, they will let their lezzo attack dog off the leash Penny Wong, have they blamed Russia or China yet for collusion and medeling in the Australian election?

On the weekend my 3 football teams all lost but I'm still smiling after seeing all those losers balling their eyes out in the aftermath of the election bloodbath. It has restored my faith in the intelligence of my fellow Australians.

Agree DD but maybe less of the lezzo stuff please as that is irrelevant and more of the attack dog, although she was more the sulky little puppy than attack dog as she whinged and whined her way through the ABC coverage, it was a joy to watch. If labour want to be more competitive next time around they need to clear out all of Shortens team as they are all tainted by Shortens toxic brand

Phelps didn't last long and hopefully Anne Aly gets the flick as well. I think the commentators got it right when they said various Labor policies of high taxing of one part of the community to give to another just didn't resonate with the voters. We're all equal in Australia and if you work your arse off to get ahead you shouldn't get it taken off you and given to someone else just because of government policy.
