One of the challenges the rescuers are facing is the passage-way itself. One of the crevices that divers have to go through to reach the boys is just an opening of 72cm by 38cm wide and the visibility in the muddy water would be virtually non existent. And wet rocks are also very slippery.

Looking at a report today it looks like the Australian doctor recommended that instead of the original strategy of taking the strongest out first they take out the weakest (mentally and physically) boys first. The people in charge accepted the doctor's recommendation and reversed their decision and rescued the weakest boys first.

I believe rescue operations start again 9 am Perth time today. Hopefully they will be able to rescue the remaining 9 today.

Certainly a remarkable event, I stayed up and watched the live coverage on news channels last night. Appears they require a 10 hr break for divers to recover, the four that are out are doing well.

There is some footage on twitter of the 38cm passage that must be used and its quite frightening to see just how tight it is.

Not sure how reliable CNN is, they are reporting the second rescue mission commenced a short time ago.
The same team of divers who rescued the first four boys will be leading the second phase of the rescue as they are familiar with the route.
With 9 remaining underground, I wonder if they will be brought out in groups of three?

Just reported a 5th boy has been rescued. Taken in an ambulance to the helicopter and en route to the hospital.

Unconfirmed reports of a 6th and a 7th boy now rescued.

Yep, 2 boys have exited so far today. The sixth boy came out about 2 hours after the fifth one
Despite all the rain that has fallen during the day, apparently the water level in the caverns has not risen. The pumps must be working extremely hard.

Just waiting on confirmation about the seventh boy to be rescued. Apparently the rescue team are using more personal than what they had yesterday.
