The launch of the 2016 WAFL season later this month with the historic televised night match at Fremantle Oval have been canned. Presumably, the game will be shifted to the Friday afternoon, with the exact time still to be finalised.

To call the WAFC incompetent fools would be to understate their gross, complete and utter incompetence. On what basis would the WAFC have scheduled the match under lights? Surely only the basest and most obtuse fool would not have checked the lighting PRIOR to the releasing of the fixtures. What incompetent fool would wait until after the fixtures have been published?

We actually told them directly to check the Lightning was suitable for a broadcast PRIOR to scheduling it...

Just make it a twighlight start at about 5pm.

They wont get as big a crowd in the day now. I know of a few that were going and now they cant, I was also going after we play EF at Condemned Oval

And some on here think CH7 have been good for WAFL footy!? hahaha this proves what they think of it!! Never had any issues with the ABC over 25 years

Did ABC ever broadcast NightGames from Freo? I cant remember them ever doing it, I know a lot of people bagged the lighting at freo just from a spectators point of view, saying it was to dark, I never had a problem with it, but its probably not strong enough for TV footage.

From memory, abc tv did not telecast a night game from Fremantle Oval. The radio stations have called night Wafl matches from the ground.
