Good ol Goodes
Once again he graces us with his absurdity and isolated formula of racial offence

lets see........
All week there's been debate about his being booed by Hawthorns supporters and others team supporters for his performing for frees etc
and then this?????? Really....

He's generally touted as the chief reason ‘sliding tackles’ has been banned due to his manner of execution, in a most dangerous way, now its bastardised into a touchy-touchy free kick (I don't mean where its obviously dangerous and can cause injury)
Many footy purists dislike him for this..... and many still boo him for it as their right in form of passive protest

He and others state it’s not dissimilar than the All Blacks 'Haka'
Welll yes it is , the Haka is performed at the start of a game and performed toward the opponents - not after a try is scored and not toward the fans of the opposition or country. The Haka is also respected by and recognised by all indigenous island communities. Can Goodes say the same?

Greg Inglass in the NRL does the 'Goanna' when he gets a try so what’s wrong with it?
well .... this is a performed to no-one in particular and celebrates the team and his efforts to achieve the try and is certainly very non aggressive

Now Goodes says it ‘meant nothing’ but a celebration of his heritage and we should take the time to understand it ... it wasn’t aggressive ... we should be saying 'hey that's cool, how wonderful it is how he celebrates his cultural heritage” ... Is this guy for Real???
Where's his communication - his understanding - his considered evaluation of its consequence when displayed - oh shit I forgot ... he's seemingly untouchable

An indigenous female sports director named this act aggressive and out of place - ummm as far as Goodes is concerned I wonder if she too might be called culturally racist and interestingly as she was FEMALE - another misunderstood minority amongst the indigenous population possibly?

It’s a made up dance by some very enthusiastic 16 yr olds that sadly has no actual cultural significance other than what he wants to make of it
It’s aggressive in its nature, which is fine if directed toward the opposition and not the supporters or if danced at the very beginning of the game – but maybe Goodes had already considered that at this time it would not have received the furore he wished , it instead may have only received the respect he apparently believed it deserves

I do not agree with Eddie McGuire usually at all on many issues but this time I'm in his corner. He made a very good argument this morning but no doubt he’ll be tagged a racist by this afternoon

Personally I am over this REVERSE racism and all of its influence on society at this time.
I'm over the ‘egg shell walking’ we have to perform so as to not appear prejudiced.
The noticeable cow towing that reporters are spewing so that they aren't accused of having an actual alternate opinion and god forbid it’s not politically correct or ooooooooooooh Racist!!

Well put Growler, and SUPRISE SURPRISE, gutless show pony Gillon and the AFL gave it the all clear. Im sick of everything being turned into a racist debate. I would have thought the spear throwing part of it would have been considered as inciting violence.
