I was thinking despite the obvious biased comments from brother Mike and Dave pumping up his own tyres trying to get a test gig, the more i think about it, the more i think maybe he would be perfect to slot into the middle order for the Indian tour and more importantly, England. His first class record is excellent and his experience in English conditions surpasses Kwagia, Hughes and any other current batsman not in the Aussie team, plus his fielding and bowling shits all over Kwagia, who i dont think is quite up to it, not yet anyway

Gees mate D.Hussey will turn 36 this year ...that would make him our eldest debutant since Bob "Dutchy" Holland in 84 if my memory serves me right.
We really do have very little coming thru in the batsmen stakes tho atm so it could be a stop gap measure by the selectors to fill a short term need!

Yeh stop gap was more what im thinking i suppose as there isnt much else coming through, after D.Hussey as an experienced stop gap measure, next in line would prob be Voges i reckon

Voges? Please. Kwaja (sp) is a good bat, good technically and young with the mind for the future. Not picked for his bowling either as any batsmen should be.

These days fielding and bowling options definately help you get picked ahead of the next bloke, and it is well known Kwagia has been told to sharpen up his fielding and improve his bowling, its a huge advantage to have guys in your top 6 who can roll the arm reasonably well..Who else do you see as a ready replacement for M.Hussey? Experience will be at a premium and IMO we need someone who can step straight in
