Long suffering supporters, yes can sympathise, but too many coaches of the ilk of Watters.

Including Blight.

The most interesting question and answer was whether N Riewoldt was involved. One can only assume that if was not involved then the answer is a straightforward and simple no. Instead the answer was in effect that I don't want to answer the question and I want his record as a player at St Kilda to be my answer. The only logical explanation to that answer is that N Riewoldt was front and centre in Watters' demise.

As for the timing, it's my understanding that November 1st is the start of the new financial year for AFL clubs, they have to pay Watters out, so this way it doesn't get included in the finacial figures for the season just finished. Finishing 16th, having a coach and football departmment not talking to each other, senior players wanting out ,and a bad financial report would be a bad look for the board.
Rumours were that Riewoldt was looking to leave, was told hang in there as things will be resloved shortly-Watters departure.

Agree 100 per cent, he was a stupid pick from the start, the blokes ordinary to say the least and has f all interpersonal skills, it's all about him.

A major stuff up by st kilda now he walks away with 400 k for doing nothing for the next year, club will be announcing a massive loss this year,

You could see he was out of his depth big time this season, apparently the players thought he was a dickhead.

The worst thing about him being sacked is we will have to put up with him on the radio again. No doubt will use his coaching experience as an excuse to now use "I" and "me" just as much as Peter Bell does.

I don't disagree DF, I could have coached Subi to a flag with their team. Watters was certainly out of his depth as someone else said. My point that I didn't put across, was that over the last 10 or so years, the average SK coach's life is about 2 or 3 years. If they keep making the wrong decisions, why haven't these decision makers been bought to task? They've got to learn that sacking coach after coach is not the way forward - go to the root of the problem.

Yep that is the worst thing about it, funny heard some. Clueless women on PR calling in this morning saying how sad for Watters she was as he was such a humble guy, she obviously has never meet the bloke.

probably Scottys mum Bazza........hopefully Scotty takes up the Cl gig...no doubt Micale will get the flick from St Kilda and come back to coach Cl in the WAFL!

Would be one of the few WAFL clubs Micale hasnt coached at freeze ..but I would doubt it, he will stay at St Kilda on the AFL gravy train for as long as possible if he is not sacked first as you can bet your last dollar he won't go out in sympathy for his mate Watters as loyalty isnt a strong factor with ol Tony!
