I tell you some very bizarre things going on in Melbourne with these riots and protests at the CFMEU building and now today closing up West Gate bridge, it's hard to tell who is actually involved, seems to me the usual anti vax crew have high jacked the construction issue and are using a few of them to cause a shit-stir, never seen workers turn on CFMEU leaders like that before,

ACTU boss said it was highjacked by extreme right wingers and the anti-vaxers, if she's to be believed, but this sort of anti-social behaviour fits those mobs. As you say, cant see real unionists turning on their own like that.

The building workers have complained of not sufficient time to go get a vax which is rubbish as they all usually knock off by 4pm most days. I like that Covid Dan decided to shut the building industry down for 2 weeks so these blokes have plenty of time to go get their jabs. No excuses now.

SS, Yes I saw that interview last night, pretty obvious from the footage I could see, looked like the same crew that had been marching for months against lockdowns and vaccines, I see a Ch 7 reporter was cracked on the back of the head by a can and then had urine poured all over him, pretty ugly stuff.

Have to agree with SS about the protests..The CFMEU has been in massive decline in Australia. The last two decades.Apart from Victoria and South Australia .SA is ran by the Victorian branch of the CFMEU.
Sekta has managed to a closed shop across Victoria. That has there construction workers earning 30k a year more than the rest of the country.

Disgraceful scenes at the shrine of remembrance, high-jacking that as a place of protest is about a low as you go and then leaving it covered in litter and bourbon cans. Absolute morons the lot of them.

These ingrates were also urinating on the walls of the shrine. That just about sums up what these arseholes are all about. They will lose what little respect and support they may have had after this debacle. Big fines and jail time might be the only way to get through to them.

Stop mucking around with pepper spray and tear gas, they come prepared for that. Hit them from range with rubber bullets and high powered water cannons. Police shouldn't be put in harms way where they can be pelted with bricks, full cans and bottles and as we've seen cans full of urine. Stop fucking around with them and adopt some of the tactics used in Europe for these hooligans.

Yes disgusting stuff.

The Irony is all the vets that went overseas got vaccinated for diseases it was compulsory for service. Also just up from the Shrine is the statue of Weary Dunlop the great doctor who saved many lives with what he had, he would of been grateful to have access to modern vaccines.
