Just devastating to see the current out of control bushfire in our Hills/Foothills area at the moment.
Fingers crossed all lives be they human or animal are ok.
Hopefully as many properties as possible are also saved by our terrific fire dept and volunteers.

Thoughts are with all the people who have had to evacuate their homes and also all the heroic fire and emergency services personnel who are putting their lives on the line to control this blaze.

Just devastating looking at the images online and on the TV. 56 homes gone but thankfully no lives lost at this stage.

Summer is always a worrying time, especially if one knows friends living across there in the hills area. Was hoping the large band of rainfall north of Perth that fell today, would hopefully drift southwards. Sadly the rain missed the fire zone.

Unfortunately at this stage 71 homes have been lost in the bushfire and many other properties have been left devastated.
The strong winds that are fanning this current blaze dont seem to be subsiding any time soon either unfortunately.
Hats off to all of the fire crews who have worked around the clock in trying to control this fire as best they can and to try and save properties and lives.
Thankfully no human lives have been lost to my knowledge but unfortunately and sadly I would assume many animals may not have been so lucky.

Also sadly the East Coast media have once again shown their true colours much like with the Yarloop fires from a few years back & others in WA in recent times, with token reports of it over there in comparison to other recent E/C based tragedies, it seems we are just too far away to really care as opposed to any of the disasters in and around NSW & VIC of recent times!
