C9 are broke mainly due to over commitment to ARL. Shares are well down.

Yeah, play the entire series at Optus. But just like the AFL, the ACB couldn’t imagine anything worse than giving WA some preference. Instead, as another option we’ll get NOTHING

Yeah Ch 9 are struggling but they had a huge win flogging the cricket rights and picked up tennis for sfa, Ch 7 paid way to much for cricket. If 9 had forked the asking price out to renew cricket they would be utterly cooked.

East Fremantle will be having free wafl games next season at shark park.

A good move, attract more spectators and get your money from food and beverages.

Will the rest of the competition see fit?

The revenue from gate takings doesn't go to WAFC but WAFC will be telling East Fremantle it is a bad idea.

What are your thoughts?

I say good on East Freo for being inventive. Sure some will wander in and then disappear without spending a cent but at least you've got them there. When you also consider the GFM page raising over $100k then you have to say they're looking outside of the square to shore up their future.
