Yes, he's pushing back on Xi but who is winning that battle with China's economy set to grow by 2% this year and the US down the gurgler. With growth there's power and leverage in the world economy...with contraction you might as well fart in the wind. Trump has isolated the US so much so that now previous allies are turning their backs on him. I hope he does break through and sort out the China bear in the room but I can't see it happening any time soon....and the big problem is that Biden doesn't have the intellectual agility or the kahunas to do it either..so I think we're all pretty well stuffed tbh.

Good to hear BC, but we will agree to disagree on Trump. Do I believe he is handling the virus pandemic well? No I don't but no one is perfect in everything. You have to admit prior to this virus pandemic it wasn't a case of who but by how far Trump would win the next election. Now it's thrown a spanner in the works but who knows how American's will react. Maybe, and hopefully they look at the alternative and realise better stick with what we got because the virus wasn't his doing and China is a very real and present danger.

To be honest DD I also don't think he has handled it well by adopting a combative approach to Democrat states. In saying that, the gubernatorial structure in the US with Governors being the final say in what happens in their own states hasn't helped as they tend to go their own way rather than uniting to beat a common enemy. As a result of that, I think Trump is now more focused on re-election than steering the country out of the pandemic which is a shame as strong leadership is required for a country completely divided. As an outsider, politics in the US is a way of life for most whereas in Australia, it's more of a distraction every 4 years than anything else.

I'm not into conspiracy theories, I don't believe this virus was released deliberately but I do believe the CCP deliberately unleashed it on the world knowing full well the devastating consequences.

They are the new evil in the world and the rest of the world is at grave risk if the American people boot Donald Trump out of office for that plonker Joe Biden. I hope and pray that doesn't happen. Trump is the only one with the balls and the nouse to handle China.

In the meantime China has broken the 50 year handover agreement and the Hong Kong people are now under authoritarian Chinese Rule. Thankfully our leader Scott Morrison has balls and is standing up and thumbing his nose at those arrogant Chinese pricks.

BC I know Trump is going to lose in November. But imo he's the only one to stop Chinese global aggression

I don't know about this belief people have that Trump is tough on China.

He has been cosying up to Xi almost since he got into the White House, and then - as exposed in Bolton's book - has been sucking up for Xi to buy more US produce (to help with his doomed re-election), and giving a big thumbs up the the subjugation, imprisonment and enslavement of the Uyghurs.
