Now this bunch of control freaks are going at break neck speed to put Hong Konger's under oppressive Chinese rule.

They are imposing a firewall that will restrict what applications the Hong Kong people can use to communicate and have now set up a headquarters for it's Chinese secret police in Hong Kong.

Tensions are rising between China and the western world and we know where this is heading.

Unfortunately Xi Jinping is not very bright GTR unlike Trump he doesn't understand the simple concept of diplomacy and Win Win. He only knows win by force. Such a simple little tyrant.

I'm not into conspiracy theories, I don't believe this virus was released deliberately but I do believe the CCP deliberately unleashed it on the world knowing full well the devastating consequences.

They are the new evil in the world and the rest of the world is at grave risk if the American people boot Donald Trump out of office for that plonker Joe Biden. I hope and pray that doesn't happen. Trump is the only one with the balls and the nouse to handle China.

In the meantime China has broken the 50 year handover agreement and the Hong Kong people are now under authoritarian Chinese Rule. Thankfully our leader Scott Morrison has balls and is standing up and thumbing his nose at those arrogant Chinese pricks.

Likewise why don't you regurgitate your Trump bashing threads BC. In case you suddenly became illiterate this topic isn't about Trump per say, it's about China's oppression of Hong Kong. I am starting to suspect you have considerable business interests with China. You seem to be so pro china and anti Trump. Did Trumps trade policies with China hurt your investments?

I think you're totally misreading me on my views on China DD. As a global traveller until the virus hit, I saw first hand the rise of Chinese middle class tourists in places like northern Vietnam, Cambodia, parts of Europe and so on and have come to the conclusion they are the most disgusting, rude, arrogant and obnoxious race on the planet. I'm also very concerned about China's blatant moves to get influence by throwing money around like confetti in the South Pacific, parts of Africa and Asia. Then of course there's military posturing in the South China Sea and their support of North Korea. The BRI is another initiative to have governments beholding to China and have a stake in vital international supply chain infrastructure, largesse which our good friend the Premier of Sicktoria was happy to take on board...and of course the topic of this conversation, Hong Kong and their total disregard with the bi-lateral agreement entered into with the UK when it changed hands in 1997. So you and I are on the same page in that regard. Where we differ is your unwaivering support of Trump who you seem to think is solution to the China problem. Yes, he's pushing back on Xi but who is winning that battle with China's economy set to grow by 2% this year and the US down the gurgler. With growth there's power and leverage in the world economy...with contraction you might as well fart in the wind. Trump has isolated the US so much so that now previous allies are turning their backs on him. I hope he does break through and sort out the China bear in the room but I can't see it happening any time soon....and the big problem is that Biden doesn't have the intellectual agility or the kahunas to do it either..so I think we're all pretty well stuffed tbh.

You do realise I'm not a moderator and anyone has the right to request a topic to be moderated if they feel responses are irrelevant and totally derail the the intention of the topic? Take up your grievances with admin. The conspiracy theory that has been floating around since the virus became known to the outside world is that China released it deliberately, I do not agree with that. But I do believe once they realised what they had on their hands they were happy for it to spread around the globe.
