Yes virgin asking for a 1.4 million dollar taxpayer rescue package. Or it could see the federal government become a part owner perhaps? Virgin recently cut it's workforce by about 80%.

Apparently now that people are losing jobs when it is not their fault they’ll go into debt for the next 20 years, Jeremy Corbyn style, to throw money at the issue.

I’m surprised they are not quarantining ( from the increase) anyone who was registered before last week as they were officially ‘dole bludgers’ who deserved everything they (didn’t) get...hell maybe they have been.
ScoMo, the corona commie.

Jesus wept.

What would you have the Govt do then? After a bit of a slow start, the Feds are doing the right thing for this unique and desperate situation, these payments have a dual purpose, the obvious economic survival purpose but also alleviating a big reason for stress and anxiety in the community, ie the stress of no money to pay bills rent mortgages, food etc, so maybe be thankful for small mercies and not such a complete negative wally. Would Albo and his team have done this differently?

Personally I think that Scott Marketing and his government have done a very good job, could they done better, yep closed the country off a bit sooner especially to the muppets who went on cruise etc when they knew that there as an issue and it could impact on Australia, all the other stuff is great and we will be paying for it into my grand kids lives but that is the price for being taken care of! Would the fish shop owner and his cohorts done better, who knows but I suspect that due to their inadequacies that they would have had to have been a bit more collaborative.

Has the invisble man down a good job, he for me is the Sandover winner, he has been strong, single minded abt protecting us and supportive where he thinks it is reqired without being reckless when other would like him to be! Would the hairdresser done as well, not as long as my RRR's points at the ground!

Agree with all you say Grump, just think a little more positivity from some will go a long way. Re the cruise ship thing in Sydney thats mostly a NSW state Govt clusterfuck, they were completely asleep at the wheel and the cruise ship operator took advantage of it by not passing on info and shunting everyone off as soon as they could, and they could do that coz no one was watching.

Yep..agree with you both. The Ruby Princess was down to NSW Health Department and whomever it was that gave the green light to letting the pax off should be drawn and quartered. I think ScoMo has been good although I also agree we should have shut the nation's borders earlier. Sneakers has been excellent....probably the best performed Premier in Australia over the period from what I've seen.

Mate, agree with you on Sco. Mo, a low start but has lifted his game, but I wouldn't rate Sneakers as excellent, been OK but was very slow on closing the States borders, and then he backed down on the cruise ship departures and now we have one that's refusing to leave.

Cooks press conference today with Forrest and the Chinese Consulate was out and out sus.
