Well what an exciting week of football we had last weekend and we are now left with 4 sides all with a chance of winning it. With 2 good games of football played last weekend, expect no different this weekend for all. As far as MrM (DrM, 40 days for those playing at home) any side can win on any day and this really excites MrM.  The gauntlet was thrown last week to challenge MrM to write upon all games being played this weekend, well MrM has news for you and that will just not happen. MrM can provide comment and say is really looking forward to seeing how the earlier games go this weekend, as for a write up, well if you want, MrM will deliver later.

Off the field though could there be any worse week for a football club than Essendon? (Carlton – well you are close) but how good that change will come and there is only one former premiership coach out there worthy of the job, who is currently at another club…guess for who that is and beers on MrM – if you can find him.

Let us look at this weekend games

Mount Lawley v Whitford @Inglewood Oval

This is the big game; this is for a spot in the Grand Final as well as A Grade next season and form line suggest this game is going to be a massive one for both sides. Mount Lawley will be refreshed after a week off and know they have a tough task against the North Padbury boys this week, after one a few weeks ago. North Padbury had a good win last weekend, and will no doubt be taking confidence form their last month heading into this game. Both these two sides are matured sides and I think will be a tough hard-fought game. The difference is, Mount Lawley probably have the edge in their forward line, so that is the way MrM will go.
Mount Lawley by 2 goals

Wanneroo v Collegians @Wanneroo Showgrounds

It is no secret that Wanneroo let one slip last weekend and doing so at home might just be the extra kick they need to make a push through finals to get it done the hard way. Being back at home this weekend will be a boost for Wanneroo, but Collegians are no easy team to face and they will definitely be up and about. The Golden Triangle gents will be full of confidence after results in recent weeks and will know their best is good enough to get it done away form home.  Will be a fascinating battle at the Showgrounds but MrM think Wanneroo at home, to win.
Wanneroo by 3 goals

Good luck to all playing this weekend.

Some interesting results across the B Grade divisions with perhaps a few upsets. MrM is right that there are some big games this weekend as always at this time of year.

Mt Lawley would have benefited from a week off and will go in fresh but Whitford will be confident following their win away from home last weekend. This will be a good game with two quality teams going at it. Whitford have had the edge over Mt Lawley so far this year but finals are a different story and anything can happen on the day. This is a toss up but I will go Whitford by a goal.

Another big game at the Showgrounds. Roos will be dirty after last weekend but I think they will have the quality and edge over Collegians to get the job done in front of a big crowd. Roos by 4 goals.

In the Reserves, Whitford have been the dominant team all year and will be ready to go after a week off. The Roos were strong last week though and got within a couple of points of Whtiford last time they met. The Roos will also get the home ground advantage despite being the away team. I still think Whitford by a couple. In the other game, Mt Lawley didnt get out of first gear last week but they too have had a good year and beat Whitford a few weeks back. I expect they will come back this week and get the job done by 3 goals.

In the Colts, Wanneroo have had another good year and will want to secure their spot in the GF this weekend. I think they will get over Wembley who had a good win last weekend by 5 goals. Mt Lawley to get over Onion Rings by 3 goals.

And the sunshine is out with the smell of finals fever. Some beauties this weekend again.

Wanneroo v Collegians, excellent game and dont underestimate Collegians. Come for A grade and have been playing well of late. I dont think they have the same talent as Wanneroo and this could be telling at the end. Wanneroo wouldnt want to go out in straight sets again this year. Again their best player is number 12 in the midfield to watch. In a tight one Wanneroo by 2goals.

Mt Law v Whitfords Mt Law from all reports needed the week off due to some sore bodies and I would expect them to be fresh and ready to go. They didnt finish top for no reason so they should put in a better performance than they have done in the past. Whitfords are up and playing good footy and as I didnt stay for the league game last week not sure how they got over the line after being down. They are a good side though and have some damaging players and have beaten Mt Law in the previous 2 games . At home in a lot to play for the Hawks by 3goals if they can kick straight this time.

Reserves Mt Lawley were as bad as it gets last week and agree with other comments, they didnt get out of 1st gear. Not sure on what players have qualified for Wembley but I would also think a better effort from Mt Lawley is on the cards and get the win by 2goals. Whitford will be way to good for Wanneroo and get the win by 5goals

Colts Wanneroo to get an easy win and Mt Law to rebound over OR.
