Well last weekend looked like it produced some very good games and with every week that passes we start learning more and more about how the ladder is going to shape up at the seasons end.
While MrM does find this fascinating, what will be fascinating is how it looks in 7 weeks’ time, which means we have plenty of time to ponder and speculate what will happen. Well MrM does, unsure what has happened to everyone else, MrM will just ponder and speculate on his daily commute as to everyone else’s whereabouts. Have they forfeited halfway through the season like a certain club’s 4ths team did last year? Time will tell.
Off the field though, MrM is sure by now everyone has read the shocking news during the week, and no it is not about any Emergency Services departure. The price of HOT CHIPS will be going up according to this headline and article and MrM does not need to say this, but this is shocking news… for all concerned, but I am sure local sporting clubs will do the right thing and not let prices sky rocket… like suggested below.
Enough of the important topics, let us look at this week.
Wanneroo v Baldivis @Wanneroo Showgrounds
This is arguably the most important game this weekend right here. Wanneroo had a good win last weekend and will be out to make sure they do not repeat their efforts against the Brumbies in this return fixture. Baldivis however will be full of excitement as they managed to knock off the ladder leaders last weekend and will no doubt be full of confidence heading into this game. Will be a special day down at Wanneroo Showgrounds, it always is when the sun is shining and people are having fun, however I think Wanneroo at home will be too good.

Mount Lawley v Swan Athletic @Inglewood Oval
It
is fair to say the move to Inglewood Oval has managed to pay dividends for the Mount Lawley boys and they are playing some good football which could see them on top by the rounds end, depending on how results fall. Swan Ath on the other hand, no idea what has happened to them, falling away considerably especially with such a strong Colts core over the last few years, I think the Mount Lawley boys will have fun, especially if Swan Ath adopt the same ole, Gary Hocking style flood they employed a few weeks ago, only so much ground to cover at the world’s biggest oval. Mount Lawley to get the win here.

Collegians v Wembley @David Cruikshank Reserve
It is pretty simple for Collegians, if they are serious about playing finals then this is the time to win, against some good opposition, whereas a loss and it opens the doors for other sides to sneak on in ahead of them. For Wembley, they are another side needing a win here to maintain touch with the top 5 or risk either relegation or might just load up on their Reserves side to qualify for finals. I thin Collegians at home, will be too good. Collegians by 2 goals
Bullcreek Leeming v Ocean Ridge @Beasley Reserve
One side had a massive loss last weekend and one side has a massive win so it could be another lopsided fixture. Bullcreek, look a lot different from a side that played finals last season, and are very much in the relegation battle as well, they face Onion Ridge here, looking for another big win like last weekend. Onion Ridge managed a strong win last weekend and will be no doubt expecting the same this weekend, you can imagine though they will be desperately hunting for a clash strip, as the colours are too close for MrM eyes. The Onion boys, away to do it easily, sorry Bullcreek faithful.
Ocean Ridge by 3 goals
Whitford v Melville @Macdonald Reserve
Could this be the beatdown of the round or will Whitford take pity on Melville. They must be smarting after last weekends loss and will want to flex their muscle on the struggling Melville and if you are lucky enough to have super vision, you may be able to see this game from the balcony, otherwise find a good spot. As for Melville, well MrM is unsure if they will win this season, but they may do, it just will not be this weekend unfortunately for them. The North Padbury boys at home, will be too good. Whitford by 5 goals
Good luck all, enjoy the weekend.
