Welcome back B Grade viewers and readers, it is definitely good to be back after a nice weekend off to recharge the batteries. MrM has been bringing his jest in the first half of the season, but am hoping that I can find another level and keep you all entertained in the only way MrM knows how, through story telling. The morning commute becomes harder as the season goes along, so join with MrM on this exciting journey and you will not be disappointed.
On the field though, things will definitely heat up in the second half of the season, and we do not know what does await us to complete the Home and Away fixtures. Finals spots still up for grabs, relegation still to be decided, it would have any football lover salivating.
Let us look into the weekend ahead.
Melville v Wembley @Melville Reserve
It’s been a long first half of the season for the Rams, but this back half of the season presents a good chance, for them to gain something from the season, yet they face a resurgent Wembley team who should be feeling pretty good about themselves and know their best can be good enough. It’s an important game for both sides, but I think Wembley can get it done. Wembley by 3 goals
Ocean Ridge v Baldivis @Heathridge Park
The Onion Ridge boys are there and thereabouts so far this season but the face a very good test in Baldivis here. Baldivis are the real smokey here and will be up against it at a ground the complete opposite to theirs. I think Onion Ridge will be too good at home, but MrM is thinking would not be surprised if the Brumbies get up.
Ocean Ridge by 2 goals
Whitford v Swan Athletic @MacDonald Reserve
Well Whitford managed to get a win last game by the hair of their chinny chin chin, and that will give them plenty of confidence heading into this match where they should definitely be favourites. Swan Ath hit the winners column for the first time last game and hope that is a sign of things to come. It won’t be easy at North Padbury though, crowd only 173 metres from the action up on the balcony and wide open expanses. I think Swan Ath will go well, but Whitford will get up.
Whitford by 3 goals
Wanneroo v Bullcreek Leeming @Wanneroo Showgrounds
A disappointing last up effort for the Roos will no doubt be spurring them for this contest against a Bullcreek side who will be ready for a challenge at the Showgrounds on Saturday. The Bullcreek gents will be ready to go and recent results indicate they are a lot better than their ladder position suggests. It’s always a big day at the Showgrounds, but MrM hears there’s a special event on, and we know that fires MrM up. Wanneroo at home, too hard to pass up.
Wanneroo by 3 goals
Collegians v Mount Lawley @David Cruikshank Reserve
This is a big game for both sides here. Collegians will want to maintain their touch with the top half of the ladder as a loss may see them slip to 2 games outside the top 5, and playing finals will certainly be on Collegians radar. It won’t be easy though, as the Lawley boys, are playing well, and will want to maintain their place on the ladder. A loss and they could even slip back to third, results depending, so will be an interesting battle no doubt. Mount Lawley should be strong here, in a good contest.
Mount Lawley by 2 goals
Good luck to all, MrM finally thinks the heavens will open and the games will be played in a nice deluge.
