Well as fit as MrM is, you cannot run forever and unfortunately as of hump day morning MrM is positive for just being a good all-round gent, but also the dreaded virus going around. MrM is feeling fantastic for all those wondering but it also means MrM is out of action this weekend which is a boost for all opposition clubs.
That being said no one is safe from the words of MrM but as always, he remains fair and honest for each and every club.
On the field though, things are looking fabulous for many sides, yet things are also looking quite bleak for many sides as well, do not fear though as the season runs long and everyone has a chance to turn things around. That being said though you would want things to turn around sooner rather than later and not leave your run till too late in the season as that is always a tough game playing catch up.
Let us look towards this weekend’s fixtures.
Melville v Collegians @Melville Reserve
It is no surprise that the Rams have been quite disappointing this season as last week they faced some troubles on and off the field and more than likely spread the virus to MrM, well played Rams, but they are at home and being at home is always more comforting than not. They come up against a Collegians team though, that will be red hot after dropping one at home last weekend. I think the Collegians boys will be up and ready to go and can see them running all over Melville.
Collegians by 5 goals
Whitford v Wanneroo @MacDonald Reserve
It may be an absolute blessing that MrM does not come this weekend, as he has lost his binoculars and really did not want to be squinting at the play from the balcony. The North Padbury gents though are travelling quite well and sit atop the ladder with everyone else chasing them so MrM will not discount them out, unlike the discount they got on the Patties mini Combo pack for an event last season things are looking good for the North Padbury *nickname redacted due to insensitivity*. Wanneroo though will be riding high in all grades after lasts weekend wins and would love nothing more than defeating an undefeated side at home. North Padbury are good, but MrM promised to be fair and honest and will go with that.
Wanneroo by 2 goals
Baldivis v Mt Lawley @Baldivis Football Oval
Baldivis may be the real deal, they play with all sorts of class, yet are a hard-nosed experienced team ready to play anyone anytime. They arguably face their biggest challenge this weekend though as they face a much-fancied side and by all reports, Mt Lawley are only going to get better. The Lawley boys are smiling, everyone is allowed back in the new clubrooms for a beverage after the game and they are undefeated so far in 2022 so things are only going to get better for them you would think. It is a difficult challenge down at Brumby Land side note, speaking of Brumbies, ACT Brumbies post game song is 10/10/. I think the Lawley boys will be rejoicing here though.
Mt Lawley by 2 goals
Ocean Ridge v Swan Athletic @Heathridge Park
Well for the Onion ridge boys a win this week is very important, 1 because everyone loves a winner and 2 because it keeps them in touch with the top 5 and also avoids the dreaded relegation zone. They came close against last weekend against some good opposition so expect another good showing however the boys from the Ath are chomping at the bit for a win otherwise danger looms for the Ath gents. MrM has a soft spot for the Ath and would love to see them do well however here against Onion Ridge away form home is a tough challenge. Onion Ridge will get it done.
Ocean Ridge by 2 goals
Wembley v Bullcreek Leeming @Pat Goodridge Reserve
Can Wembley put everything that has happened so far this season behind them and move forward, that is the biggest question or this weekend. On field losses and off field virus woes have seen Wembley not up to their best, but this next stretch of games looms as a big chance for them. Bullcreek though just don’t want to be a thereabouts team and a win this weekend will see them steer clear of the relegation zone and also another team wanting to keep in touch with the top 5 and play finals once more. I think Wembley will start to get things in order now and be back to their best, Wembley by 3 goals
Good luck to all this weekend, If you are free please text MrM on 1800 MrM IS COO the score so he can keep updated.
