Was hoping for this to be kicked off by one of the B Grade regulars, so I can only assume you’re all on holiday.

Will the long weekend, covid and a festival down south play havoc with team selections, I guess we’ll see.

Anyway, here goes:

Swan Ath V Mt Lawley
Haven’t heard a whole lot out of Ath over the off season and they probably haven’t had the start they’d of liked. Lawley on the other hand  seem to be flying after a few very handy acquisitions across the grades.
Home ground advantage will no doubt play a part, but I get the feeling that the Hawks are the real deal here and will run hot 5 goal winners.

Melville V Whitford
A far better Round 2 showing from Melville last time around, but they still came up short against Ridge. Whitfords on the other hand, have been fantastic in claiming 2 big early scalps and look to be on the rise in a big way.
Melville play their small ground well, but it won’t be anywhere near enough to stop the warrior train who will run out 8 goal winners.
I dare say it’s going to be a long season for the rams.

Baldivis V Wanneroo
Baldivis are going to be competitive in this grade make no doubt about that, but I still don’t think they are up there with the top 3 just yet. Wanneroo have picked up where they left off in 2022 and are coming along very nicely indeed.
Does a 90 minute road trip make this a challenge for Wanneroo? Absolutely! But I still think their quality will see them over the line by 2 goals in this one.

Wembley V Collegians
Contrasting starts to the season for both of these 2. Wembley would not have seen themselves sitting at 0 and 2, so
will want to turn that form around quickly before they lose too much ground on the top sides.
On the other hand, the boys from the Triangle are absolutely flying with a couple of very good wins early on. I expect them to continue on their merry dance until the uni holidays decimate them in June.
Going on form, I can’t tip against collegians and expect them to get up by 3 goals in this one.

Ocean Ridge V BullCreek Leeming
Ridge have had a reasonably good start to the year and will be happy with their bounce back last week.
For BCL it’s been a case of being highly competitive, but not quite getting over the line against 2 of the better sides on the competition. They are far better than their 0 and 2 position suggests, and I expect results to swing their way in the coming weeks.
This one will go right down to the wire, but I’ll go with the Bombers in an upset by less than a kick.

Good luck to all teams.

Great work HighPants. MrM must be out of touch, this WFH nonsense is playing havoc with MrM and his personal life.

MrM does hope everyone enjoyed a fantastic time off over Easter. MrM has once again managed to escape the claws of that dreaded disease flying around, so credit to MrM immune system for once again holding up.We have plenty to discuss off the field, however best let the political landscape sort itself out, while we deal in huge things like B Grade football which is ready to sort itself out in the next few rounds, I am sure. While on field who knows what teams will look like from week to week, you can guarantee MrM will be here, with his Gold-Plated Service, and nothing like those Paper Plates some people use.Let us look into this week’s games.

Swan Athletic v Mt Lawley @Swan Athletic Sporting Club

Swan Ath haven’t had the best start to the season and MrM thinks this week will be equally as tough for the boy from the Ath, especially they come up against the much-fancied Mt Lawley. Swan Ath may have their depth tested, and they do play their home ground well, however up against Mt Lawley who MrM tips to do big things in 2022. Mt Lawley is 1 of 4 undefeated teams and MrM cannot see that changing this weekend.
Mt Lawley by 4 goals

Melville v Whitford @Melville Reserve

Melville have struggled so far in their start to the season, but who knows if that is inexperience players unavailable due to isolating, or they may have faced two very good teams to start the season. They are another side to face an undefeated team in Whitford, who have looked good so far this season. Whitford did just defeat a side by a few goals who defeated Melville by 20 goals, however I am not sure the result will be that lopsided this weekend, still expect Whitford to win.
Whitford by 5 goals

Baldivis v Wanneroo @Baldivis Football Oval

The Brumbies will be ready to go back on their home deck this season and with a strong showing from the newcomers so far this season. They face a young Wanneroo side with plenty to prove though especially against a strong Baldivis side.  MrM may journey down to Baldivis but wants his chips hot and viewing experience to be exemplary. I think Wanneroo may be able to get it done away from home, just.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Wembley v Collegians @Pat Goodridge Reserve

Well Wembley will know they just had to get to Easter and they were due a few people back to add to their stocks, however the start has not been a good one for them added in with some other off-field woes, this week could be the week they get started, they face Collegians though who are primed and ready. Collegians are looking a very strong team and will know a win over Wembley will go a long way to solidifying themselves as a genuine contender.  I think Wembley may bounce back here and be ready to bless them all.
Wembley by 3 goals

Ocean Ridge v Bullcreek Leeming @Heathridge Park

Well Onion Ridge will be looking to win here and get back to the type of football that saw them playing finals last season and what better way to do that then come up against a side that they defeated last season in those very finals. Bullcreek are winless so far, and they know they cannot afford to drop too many games otherwise they slip back into the relegation battle. Onion Ridge do play their ground well, and Bullcreek need a win, so its going to be a great game MrM is sure. I feel as though Onion Ridge at home will win
Ocean Ridge by 2 goals

Good luck to all.

SA v Mt Law, SA play their ground well and I expect them to do the same here. Mt Law was scrappy last week and need to fix a couple of things and goal kicking would be number 1. May need a forward line coach. But I do see the hawks getting up by 4goals.

Mel v Whitfords , could this be this opportunity for Melville to get a win. Not sure on Whitfords yet and surely Melville is better than the results show. Have heard they have feral issues at their ground and get abusive up at their balcony. Wont get away with that moving up the grades so let the footy do the talking. Melville by a goal.

Baldivis v Wanneroo , the trip to Rocky and a cut lunch needed. Wanneroo by 2 goals.

Wembley v Collegians, not sure what has happened off the field as mentioned, this week. Just dangle a carrot? Wembley to win by 5goals

OR v BC , Bullcreek to have a win. Bigger bodies and go about their work well. Should win by 3 goals. But who knows yet?

Good luck to all teams on ANZAC weekend footy.

Mt Lawley by 4 goals, seem to be travelling ok without any big wins yet. Better than least year by the looks!
Whitford by 10 goals, have come out firing after a strong finish to last season.
Wanneroo to get an away win here by 3 goals. Could go either way.
Collegians by 4 goals, have also started well after the drop. Wembley not so much but expect them to improve.
Onion Rings to win by 2 goals, neither side looking especially damaging so far this season.
