Well what an interesting week last week was, we had all sorts of people coming out of the woodwork. MrM did really appreciate the comment - where it was said that the umpire didn’t think there was head high contact and didn’t pay a free kick. Yet this was fully contradicted by photos of the incident circulating on the P.F.L dark interwebs showing that contact was made, and a free kick was paid (rhyming MrM lyrical genius) so all in a week’s work you would say. Two players now miss this weekends game and MrM is sure the fallout will be much greater so watch this space.
As for this weekend though, 2 very big fixtures and am sure it will have everyone scrambling to get the results on their phones from the weekend. I am sure you all cannot wait, so let us have a look.
Semi Final 2
Wanneroo v Bassendean @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Massive game here for both clubs. With each club on the verge of securing a Grand Final spot and also promotion to A Grade is on the cards you know the game you want to be at is this one. Wanneroo I am sure will be refreshed after a weekend off and will know at home in front of a big crowd, this are set up for them. As for Bassendean well they had a very good win last weekend and will be full of confidence after last weekend, only downside for them is they have 3 teams in finals all playing at different grounds and none very close to one another. I think Wanneroo will be out to prove here, they can get it done and with all 3 sides at home, I expect them to show up and win by a few goals.
Wanneroo by 2 goals
Semi Final 1
West Coast v Ocean Ridge @City Beach Oval
West Coast have all to play for this weekend and I am sure they would not mind another crack at Bassendean if given an opportunity, they do face a very hungry Ocean Ridge though and will need to get through them. The loss of their big ruckman is a big out but am sure they know their best is good enough. As for the Onion Ridge they will be riding that momentum train all the way through finals, pitting themselves as the underdogs, but telling all they are the team to beat is an odd way to do things. I think they could be a sneak chance to get things done here. MrM does hope that the Onion boys have a clash strip sorted for this weekend, will be very tough to spot the navy and black apart. MrM will go the upset, but would love to see West Coast v Bassendean again.
Ocean Ridge by 1 goal
Good luck all.
