It has been an interesting time for MrM. All MrM seeks are answers yet people seem to be raising more questions, which MrM does not like. But life is returning to some what normalcy for MrM, the early morning commute on the train and the fun time writing these posts.
MrM figures that you all must be excited to read these as last weeks blew up, especially because we had a few Johnny come lately’s join in last week, and MrM does appreciate the conversations, however do not come in spread vicious lies and throw darts and then return to your hiding spot like a bitter man, or you should start calling yourself Kevin Rudd…

In football terms though, things are starting to heat up, and while this weekend may see the race for the Top 5 all but sealed shut, not knowing what the final order will be entertaining and will more than likely come down to the final round, much like the relegation battle.

Let us look at this weekend’s exciting fixtures.

West Coast v Bullcreek Leeming @City Beach Oval

Well this could be the biggest game in B Grade this weekend, with both sides needing the win more than the other. West Coast are trotting along nicely stringing together a few good wins and back at home, they will want another good showing. Bullcreek though, inaccurate kicking cost them last week and know they cannot afford another loss, or they lose touch with the top 3. I feel as though; West Coast are building nicely and will get it done here.
West Coast by 2 goals

Mt Lawley v Wanneroo @Hamer Park

The Mt Lawley boys are still half a sniff of finals if they can win this weekend. They haven’t had the best season so far, but you never know what they can bring each week. Wanneroo have faltered in recent weeks, but can they steady the ship at a ground that is more than likely in worse condition than their own. Should be a tough ole slog, but I think Wanneroo will be too good.
Wanneroo by 3 goals

Bassendean v Kingsley @Jubilee Reserve

Bassendean are another looking to build on big things for this season, but they face a side here hungry to win as they face the prospect on relegation. Bassendean have turned it around since they faltered for a few weeks, and the bigger bodies in the wet may prove the difference. Kingsley though, they want a win and desperation may get them over the line as they battle for the Delby Cup. Bassendean at home, in the wet and viewing the game from the balcony…
Bassendean by 3 goals

Ocean Ridge v Swan Athletic @Heathridge Park

Well the Onion Ridge boys are another side on the down and did MrM see online that MrM BBL. is Darwin bound? This may affect them heading towards finals., but we digress. Onion Ridge must get back to playing good team football, but up against Swan Ath is no easy feat. Swan Ath are another club needing a win or they face a tough relegation battle. The Onion Ridge boys may be up and about, but you never know. I feel they can win here.
Ocean Ridge by 2 goals

Whitford v Ballajura @Macdonald Reserve

This would have to be the biggest game for both these clubs this weekend. Not only this season, but for the future as well. Whitford were good last weekend, but can they keep it up as they fight to avoid relegation. Meanwhile Ballajura are good at home, but away from home they might be a different prospect. This game is a big one, and would be hard to tip either side, could we see another draw. Given it is at home, Whitford to get it done.
Whitford by 1 goal

Good luck to all this weekend. A bad weekend for actually wanting to view the games from the clubrooms or sheltered area. City Beach Oval looking the best in this sweepstakes. Other are a long way behind.

You’re not the only one without answers MrM. I shall continue to wonder in the meantime.

Tips for the Johnny come latelys and those in the shadows who read with interest but generally leave the tipping to those with closer knowledge.

For fun:

West Coast by 5 goals who are probably getting better at the right time but lack depth compared to prior years judging by their reserves ladder position. Bullcreek dangerous but not consistently so.

Ocean Ridge by 5 points. No confidence in this one but only because they’re at home on their meadow. Don’t be surprised by an upset. Onion Rings to finish 5th in a good first year in B grade.

Wanneroo by 5 goals who would be dark with recent performances. Mt Lawley getting a few confidence wins of late but the Roos too good this time.

Basso by 5 goals. Too strong for a perhaps depleted Kingsley squad lacking sharp talents. Basso looking back to full $trength now with del Borrello and McKay both back in the $quad.

Whitfords by 5 points. Balla playing well lately and have surprised a few teams. Away from home, not so hot but tasty odds to win this one too.

cheers

Hopefully the rain stays away tmoz. Wind looking next to nothing.

West Coast v Bullcreek
Really tough game for both teams and you really could toss a coin. West Coast are starting to look alright again which for me means there’s another hiccup coming. Bullcreek 2 goals

Mt Lawley v Wanneroo
With no real answers we still don’t know what really went on with the Roos last week except they didn’t play well. Can’t see them being bad again against a relegation battling side. Wanneroo 6 goals.

Bassendean v Kingsley
Danger game. For the cats morale that is. There’s a belting coming here with Basso looking to set up for a tilt. Basso 12 goals

Ocean Ridge v Swan Ath
So I heard from a bloke up there that things haven’t been as cuddly lovey as they were earlier in the year. The pressure pot maybe starting to boil for the new kids. Still think they good enough to get back on the winners page though. Ridge 4 goals

Whitford v Ballajura
Huge game in the relegation fist fight. Warriors pulled one out of the hat last week. Is that enough to get them going ?? I don’t know if it is. Royals
to really throw a spanner in the works. Ballajura 1 goal

WC v BCL West Coast to have a win here and looking dangerous approaching finals. BCL stumble a little but still have talent to make this interesting. WC by 2goals

Mt Law v Wanneroo Wanneroo to get players back from the wedding.....Have heard that Mt Law again cannot get a full strength side on the park, must be frustrating for all. Wanneroo will want to get back on the winning track by 6goals

Bassendean v kingsley Basso to get going in the run home and have a big win here by 8goals

OR v SA Ath will be dangerous and I am thinking an upset. OR apparently losing BBL, the coach may do the ring around to WAFL clubs again, who knows. SA by 8points

Whitford v Ballajura, Whitford at home tough to beat.  Balla will give their all and should be a good game but Whitfords by a goal

Good luck to all.
