On the back of the season now and what do you know MrM cannot believe that we are nearly done, writing this each week definitely makes the Friday morning commute quicker. It’s god to see the faithful still here, while the others have fallen by the way side, which is such a shame, no one enjoys fair weather commentators. Speaking of fair weather, it’s good to see some sunshine greeting us.

Alright, time to start this weekends fixture.

Ballajura v Bullcreek Leeming @Kingfisher Oval

Ballajura were good last week, make no mistake about it, they were looking like they were top of the ladder and things may be turning around at Kingfisher, but facing Bullcreek Leeming this week, they are up against it yet again. It’s a big second half of the season for Balla and for Bullcreek too. It will be a big game here, but Bullcreek too strong.
Bullcreek Leeming by 3 goals

Ocean Ridge v Bassendean @Heathridge Park

Another big game in the context of things for this season. Onion Ridge are flying along and have surpassed everyone’s expectations. If they keep up this current form, you’d expect them to be there right at the end of the season. Meanwhile Bassendean have dropped the last few games, but do not count them out they still have a lot to offer.  It’s a toss up but I think Bassendean to bounce back and stop Mr M.Star gathering 50+ disposals on their way to winning.
Bassendean by 2 goals

Whitford v Mt Lawley @MacDonald Reserve

This game is big for another reason, finals aren’t out of the question for either of these two sides, but at this stage both are battling it out in the relegation stakes. Whitford have been ultimately disappointing with rumours of a rift amongst the ranks, but Mt Lawley equally as so would have hoped for better. This is a massive game in the context of the season. Tough to say, but Whitford at home in Padbury will win.
Whitford by 3 goals

Swan Athletic v Wanneroo @Swan Athletic Sporting Club

MrM again asks where has Fawell Park gone, it was a lot easier to say. Swan Ath are riding a good wave of momentum here and will be looking to knock off a Wanneroo team causing upsets week in week out. Someone alerted MrM to the fact Mr Media street “The Yuk” is now a bonaifde Tiktok er (whatever that is) so much so he’s reaching out for a publicist. I think even though it’s family fun day, Wanneroo will be the ones to win.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

West Coast v Kingsley @City Beach Oval

West Coast are coming, make no mistakes, they are coming and with a litany of players returning soon, (Kelly, McGovern, Shuey ect…) they are building towards big things. They face a Kingsley squad who need to turn things around in the back half of the season. They will want to avoid that dreaded double drop, so some results are needed. In a twilight fixture here, can’t see West Coast losing.
West Coast by 4 goals

Best of luck gents.

Looking like a great day for footy tomorrow. Bit of a  northerly breeze could affect some grounds around the place

Ballajura v Bullcreek
Great performance by the Balla boys last week. Could have won it too if not for a tough set shot miss very late. Unfortunately though I think it will be super hard to back that up against another quality outfit. Creek 5 goals.

Ocean Ridge v Bassendean
Been on the ridge wagon all year and they still haven’t given me a reason to get off. Basso couple
of surprising results of late, little bit of complacency maybe or have they got some blokes out ?? Feels like a good time either way for ridge to get them out on their planet sized paddock. Ridge 3 goals

Whitfords v Mt Lawley
I too have heard whispers of a little bit of frustration getting around at the warriors. Not hard to believe with the struggles they are having so far this year. Hawks get a good chance to give themselves a head start in the all important relegation battle and I think they will get it done. Mt Lawley 2 goals

Swan Ath v Wanneroo
Could just be a coincidence or something more but the YUK showed up on my tiktok feed recently. Powers at work MrM ?? I’m feeling a proper upset brewing here, roos maybe just feeling the pinch and pressure of being a flag fancy. Swan Ath 1 goal

West Coast v Kingsley
Coast finally showed a bit more last week after being off for the few before. Kingsley well and truly entrenched in the relegation battle and are going to have to figh tooth and nail all the way to the end. Just don’t think they’ve got enough to get going here. West Coast 6 goals

Things have gone awfully quiet on this chat. Fullback has gone MIA just as Dave Warner does when Stuart Broad is bowling to him, WCE1987 also nowhere which is disappointing the viewers and unholytugboat well, he hasn't really been seen this season (maybe due to whitties form?) Get on the chat people!!!

Bullcreek win a high scoring game v Balla. The creek doing the job here. Balla have had 2 pretty solid weeks and will be flat without the 4 points. You think with this brand of footy, they might get a couple more wins? Hopefully for there sake, they can build on this. As for the Creek, sitting pretty inside the 5.

Ridge over Basso convincingly at home. Just keep getting results do ridge and now would definitely be looking at a top 3 if not top spot finish. Couple of interesting weeks from Basso with rumours of frustrations in the playing group aimed at the coach. You have to think with some of the quality they have, this will turn around but they might want to sort this quick or another bad result will follow.

Whitties with a close one over Lawley. The Hawks shoot themselves in the foot again with another close loss. Whitties definitely had some extra cavalry this week looking at the team list which may have helped. Big win for the warriors which keeps them just a tad further out of relegation. Mt Lawley now have had 2 bad losses in 2 weeks.

Wanneroo put the Ath away easily. Ath would have been confident at home after recent results but Wanneroo looked like they bounced back from last week's poor effort maybe? Think this showed the difference between the top 5 and those out of it. Couple of big weeks for Wanneroo, let's see if they actually are the real deal. As for the Ath, the relegation zone is still staring at them.

West coast do the job over Kingsley. Thought the result was gonna be much larger so a little unconvincing for mine. Had a couple of good weeks West coast and at the end of the day, a win is a win. Kingsley might take some heart out of being close enough but with Whitfords winning, they will be very nervous again. The bottom half is tight again.

Couple of big games this coming weekend, one in which could decide potentially who will be relegated. Just a quick one to finish, Ballajura have the worst lights in football and shouldn't be allowed to play games at home after 2.30. Good luck to the Ath trying to find the footy this weekend. Bye bye

Still here, just had a week down south with the wife and dog. Some close results over the weekend and I have spoken to someone who was at the game of Mt Lawley and Whitfords. Apparently the very last kick of the game got whitfords over the line. Some not too happy people also with the one sided umpiring decisions which had an influence on the game. I wouldnt have a clue as I werent there to see but this is what was said. Also Whitfords called in some handy players that hadnt played for a bit as well as Kobe Manning for his first game. thats a big player for them. Wonder why he went there......

With Bassendean I also heard some unrest, although who really knows. Maybe everyone wants to be looked after, not just half the team.

Wanneroo look the one to beat here and BCL looking to push. Relegation is wide open and I hope the hawks can survive as they are in most games and starting to play some decent team footy that is different from previous years.

I think U will find Kody played juniors with Whitfords, lives local, grew up playing football with the bulk of the team and has been training all year with them.

Along with a few other close ties to the club.

Fairly logical.

Umpiring was ordinary all day, nill affect on the outcome of the day.

I cant really comment on the umpiring as I werent there, just what I was told. Sounds like you are a Whitfords supporter UBOAT, so most likely will say it didnt have an affect. Manning played juniors at Ocean Ridge according to Mr Google.  Anyway onto this weeks games in what could be quite big for several clubs.

Secondary to following Whitfords, I hate Dockers supporters , usually because they piss and moan about umpires. Imagine blaming 20 years of mediocre on umpires?

Alas WCE1987 marital duties can be used to an extent  however, I shall give U a tip. Go look at the quarter by quarter scores  of the game, then come back and comment about the "poor" umpires.
