On the back of the season now and what do you know MrM cannot believe that we are nearly done, writing this each week definitely makes the Friday morning commute quicker. It’s god to see the faithful still here, while the others have fallen by the way side, which is such a shame, no one enjoys fair weather commentators. Speaking of fair weather, it’s good to see some sunshine greeting us.
Alright, time to start this weekends fixture.
Ballajura v Bullcreek Leeming @Kingfisher Oval
Ballajura were good last week, make no mistake about it, they were looking like they were top of the ladder and things may be turning around at Kingfisher, but facing Bullcreek Leeming this week, they are up against it yet again. It’s a big second half of the season for Balla and for Bullcreek too. It will be a big game here, but Bullcreek too strong.
Bullcreek Leeming by 3 goals
Ocean Ridge v Bassendean @Heathridge Park
Another big game in the context of things for this season. Onion Ridge are flying along and have surpassed everyone’s expectations. If they keep up this current form, you’d expect them to be there right at the end of the season. Meanwhile Bassendean have dropped the last few games, but do not count them out they still have a lot to offer. It’s a toss up but I think Bassendean to bounce back and stop Mr M.Star gathering 50+ disposals on their way to winning.
Bassendean by 2 goals
Whitford v Mt Lawley @MacDonald Reserve
This game is big for another reason, finals aren’t out of the question for either of these two sides, but at this stage both are battling it out in the relegation stakes. Whitford have been ultimately disappointing with rumours of a rift amongst the ranks, but Mt Lawley equally as so would have hoped for better. This is a massive game in the context of the season. Tough to say, but Whitford at home in Padbury will win.
Whitford by 3 goals
Swan Athletic v Wanneroo @Swan Athletic Sporting Club
MrM again asks where has Fawell Park gone, it was a lot easier to say. Swan Ath are riding a good wave of momentum here and will be looking to knock off a Wanneroo team causing upsets week in week out. Someone alerted MrM to the fact Mr Media street “The Yuk” is now a bonaifde Tiktok er (whatever that is) so much so he’s reaching out for a publicist. I think even though it’s family fun day, Wanneroo will be the ones to win.
Wanneroo by 2 goals
West Coast v Kingsley @City Beach Oval
West Coast are coming, make no mistakes, they are coming and with a litany of players returning soon, (Kelly, McGovern, Shuey ect…) they are building towards big things. They face a Kingsley squad who need to turn things around in the back half of the season. They will want to avoid that dreaded double drop, so some results are needed. In a twilight fixture here, can’t see West Coast losing.
West Coast by 4 goals
Best of luck gents.
