Normally I'd be saying, who wants to play A grade, because this weekend will decide who goes where, but Instead someone ate a bat and it's another opportunity to get a chance to join the boys in the Holy Land, A grade.
Very quiet this week on the threads, Frank missed his Friday cut off but here we are anyway. Let's talk football

West coast v Basso- look I dunno but this just has a real feel of an upset. The Coasters been real good all year but Basso might be hitting there straps. I feel the big bodies of basso won't be shy when they roll down today, Might even ruffle the feathers of the pretty boys down at West Coast. Realistically the Coasters would be absolutely spewing to drop 2 games at home in a row and I'm intrigued to see them go about their work. As much as I love an upset and might see one, I think I'll tip the Cowan boys by 4 goals.

Well this thread has taken off like the Thorpedo did a few Olympics back (the joke is it hasn't as he jumped the blocks in trials and didn't qualify for those people that don't understand where I'm going with all this).
You all suck. Frank was expecting some big goss from the king of shit, Fullback, The Master of Ozfooty, Mr Mysterious, and of course Unholytugboat (nothing surrounding your name sorry champ). In one of the longest seasons to date, we have our team locked in, but first the result

Frank decided he didn't care about the first 2 games so went and parked his car across the other side of the ground, the ticket was not appreciated especially once Frank told him who he was. Basso had the breeze in the first and scored in 20 seconds, they were up and about. With the breeze they looked in control but some last Snags from the Cowan had the score at 3 goals to 2, Basso up.
Once again Basso scored within a minute and an upset was brewing. The Coast maybe a tad more efficient with the ball but Basso also finding a way to score. 4 goals to 3 this qtr with the game tied at 6 goals a piece.
This qtr had to be money for Basso if they were any chance but West Coast showed why they were top. The spread, link up handball and use of the footy hurt Basso but just couldn't find a way to goal. Basso kept going long, not lateral looking and West Coast killed the clock with a 1 goal apiece qtr.
West Coast got the upperhand in the last with the breeze proving difficult for Basso. I can tell you this wasn't through lack of trying, they pushed and pushed, but the class of West Coast just gave them the edge, sneaking in by around 10 points.

Fair game of football played at a good intensity. Basso cracked in but Coast just cleaner and smarter when it mattered. If anyone else was in attendance please let me know ya thoughts. Or even just offer something coz you all suck this week.

but thorpedo did 'qualify'? the bloke who got his spot 'sold it' and Ian won gold in athens still in his pet event.

Good summary FTT and the game went according to script, once the ball got outside WC were more efficient and were better equipped to take advantage of winning the clearances.
As for Basso though,if you put Fletcher and Ridley (presuming he pulls his head in) into that side that probably solves there weakness in the middle and at clearances and will make them hard to beat nxt yr?
Mind you that is an extra 8 points on top of their 41 so some players will probably have to go back to the bush or make way.
