Thought I was hearing things upon listening to the news.
From memory, had a very long run up with his quick bowling.
After his playing days, being a well respected commentator with the BBC and Sky.
Certainly sad news and will be missed.

His finest playing moment was at Headingly 1981. 8 wickets to destroy Australia after Bothams 150 pulled England back from the brink

His commentary was cutting - especially toward the England team when they were insipid during Ashes series but it was always true & constructive
All arms & legs during the delivery he was a reliable opening bowler during times when plenty of them were tried at the other end
He will be missed during Ashes series that's for sure
