A reminder today of how hard it is going to be to beat England at the upcoming World Cup. Despite the West Indies posting a score of 360 in 50 overs with Gayle making a century, England chased the target down easily for the loss of only 4 wickets. They will back themselves to score anything and bat down to number 10. Pretty scary combination.

England now lead the ODI series V Windies

Indeed, Ark, the To and Froms are masters of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
The weight of expectation in previous World Cups has brought them unstuck before and it wouldn't surprise me to see it happen again.

Apparently there were 46 sixes in the game which is a record for an ODI. Gayle smashed 162 from 95 balls but still ended up on the losing team. Who would be a bowler??

Gayle now 39 still a wonderful player.Watching the first ODI he was 7 runs off about 30 balls.Takes a bit of time to get his eye in.But when it does he hits em over the fence..Still one of the players to watch in the Odi World Cup.

Windies won the last ODI to level the series 2\2.
England all out for 122.Thomas 5-22.
Chris Gayle unsure if this was his last international in the Caribbean. Scored 50 runs of 19 ball's. And 77 off 31 balls.Player of the 4 game series.Averaging 106 and scoring 38 six runs.Going to be fun if the ODI World Cup is CG's last international event. He will go out with a bang.

A bit of a wake up call for England I would think. Better to get it now than in the middle of the World Cup.
The West Indies are developing a good ODI team and may be more than just nuisance value in the tournament.

Would be good Mike. If the Windies revival continues in all forms of Cricket.Dont think they have had a Summer down under since 08-or 09 or 2010.Played a fantastic test at the Waca. And allnost got us in Adelaide.
Day 1 Waca Chris Gayle allnost scored a century in the first session.Wato allnost had a breakdown
Bowling to Gayle.
