just heard a very very good England batsman has passed away at a very young age
came in at a time when Australia were dominating cricket and played like an Australian which was why he was so good
he even used the kookaburra gear that was in fashion but unusual for Englishmen
good bloke to boot and this is a sad one

he was a difficult batsman to dismiss and was getting into the coaching when illness struck. RIP.

Graham Thorpe was a very good English batsman in an era where we absolutely dominated the old enemy (early 1990's - to mid 2000s)
