Great win by the Aust youngsters last night v hot favourites India. Bit of de je vu it seems. Great to see WA young quick Beardman win the Man of the Match with his 3 wicket effort.  Looks Aust had a good spread of contributers with bat n ball. Young Singh who didn't score a run during the comp, comes out and top scores with a 50 odd in the final.

Obviously difficult to read too much into U/19 cricket, but Dixon, Weibgen and Peake had good tournaments with the bat, whilst Vidler, Beardman, Straker and McMillan did well with the ball.

Yes a brilliant performance by the team. They did everything right in the final albeit they were lucky to be there after a narrow escape against Pakistan.
There are some players who will certainly be regulars in their state sides before too long. Some of them have already had a taste of it including Beardman for WA
